We had a fatality yesterday too, which might’ve been because of the going (which was good in anyones book). Also, why is Nicholls basing his opinion on a 3-day old forecast?

The farce re the Bumper is less forgivable. As everyone said, horses don’t mind a bit of standing water. Amateur hour that.

Anyway, moving on. With the good weather we’re expecting, what is the going reasonably going to be tomorrow? Soft would be my guess.
The whole 5 people looking at a puddle was hilarious. Queen Jane bang on the money in her criticality of it all.

It's fresh ground, it'll be perfect. If a bit on the soft side

I dunno I thought the jockeys were taking the piss yesterday, they were going way too fast over and over again

Maybe they need to stop walking them in from so far away from the tape

            • Over 50l a circuit slower on the hurdle course vs yday, some swing that ! Hopefully the New course is no worse than soft with a dry day ahead.

              • watering wouldn't have helped but there was so much rain yesterday I think we'd have got the same conditions regardless. walking up at 12pm there was already surface water pooling on grass around the course and rivers flowing from stands down to the course. it never let up for 7 or 8 hours and fairly torrential early afternoon. a tough day!

That’s what I thought, fresh ground, new track, happy days haha!

                    • The heavy parts also only related to the crossing between the new course and the cross country. The sun and the wind this morning should put this spot on
