I use YR Weather, have done me well over the year. They are forecasting 7.2m of rain next Friday , followed by 21mm on the Sunday. Thats soft-heavy come Tuesday (if the forecast holds)

You cant blame trainers and owners for waiting till the last minute before declaring, especially these that could feature in more than 1 race

A soft-heavy festival could lead to a number of shock results, most of the form this season (plus last years festival) has been over quick ground

Obviously a long way out, forecast could change.
    Continuing to refreshing daily though

As of today, it's soft all around, but with a dry week ahead as opatcho says, rain for the weekend directly preceding affairs. I'd say that forecast must be making their minds up to not water at this stage, but I think after this weekend, we should have a much clearer picture.

Evening Refresh: Now only showing 3mm of rain next weekend. I think the site's controlled by Willie Mullins

Not the racecourse though which is amazingly protected by the surrounding hills. The weather is often completely different to that which the Town experiences. You just can't tell. So unpredictable.

Much nicer forecast that. Any extreme in ground is always disappointing. Any combination of good to soft and soft would be just fine. Hopefully be mid next week should have a pretty firm idea of what to expect

The Met Office, BBC and Metcheck sites have all changed substantially (for the better) in the last couple of days. Basically, 5 days is the very limit of anything remotely reliable.

8 days to go and some rain I see has appeared for this Wednesday night/Thursday morning and as previously expected around the weekend. It all appears to be showers though, nothing really heavy and what you'd expect to see just keeping the ground as it is, if that. Obviously those of you who live close by will know better, but surely with the last ground condition report calling it soft all round but with no rain over the last few days, you would expect it to be g/s by now - although I'm sure you locals will know.

This is the only time in the year where I get really interested in the weather.

Ground will likely dry out through the 4 days

Just talking to my mate and suggested if Willie sees the drier weather, I'd suspect Galopin Des Champs will run on the Wednesday over 3 and not wait another drying day to run over 2m 3f in the Turners

Just trying to think of a few other horses who's destination that could be decided by the dry weather
