Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade
Hello Fat Jockeys,
Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum
We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.
I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Appreciate the handicaps pre-weights are tough but maybe that topic should have just waited a week until more information was revealed
This does come up every now and again... my personal opinion is that they're for "us" to enjoy rather than be a huge marketing tool to attract more people. The organic growth we have at the moment is already great and there is just so much content (and great content) out there in all kinds of formats, we do what we enjoy most (which happens to be longer than the average podcast)
I haven't had chance to listen to all the podcasts yet myself, knowing how long it'd be! so understand what you're saying for sure.
The whole thing can be improved, I don't think it should be taken too seriously right now, I think it's better than if we didn't do it, and who knows where it'll end up... so appreciate the feedback and hope my thoughts on it make sense

Enjoy the podcasts and watching when I can however I do feel sometimes they are too long. The UTA show is about right imo at around the 45-mins to an hour mark any longer and it gets hard having the spare time to watch in full. Maybe if one person took on the “host” role and ushered conversations onto the next topic with one eye on the clock would work better going forward. Just my feedback, good effort guys and I look forward to watching more in the future.

….I’m retired so I have no problem finding time to listen but I would constructively suggest they could be a little sharper and more punchy. I think this will naturally happen as the guys get used to things, let’s not forget it’s early days.
Good idea that for the facilitator to watch the clock and keep discussion on track, or when there are two, one can police the other. Terrifically informative stuff, onwards and upwards, great addition to the site.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the in-depth discussions in the Fat Jockey podcasts this year and the longer, more detailed format makes them stand out against the plethora of Cheltenham podcasts on offer.
Keep up the good work fellas

I also appreciate the time & research that goes into the handicaps. They're an afterthought on almost all podcasts & preview nights.
The graded races get talked to death throughout the season, and if you haven’t nailed your colours to a mast by now chances are you’re too late, but that’s all they talk about & often don’t even mention handicaps.
So it’s nice to hear solid opinions by people on here who are much more informed than 99% of the horse racing industry.
