Saying Kilcruit runs, El Fabiolo probably runs, and one of Sir Gerhard or Dysart Dynamo will run and either will take all the beating.

    Not really news, but still.

Did mention State Man and Bring On The Night, and said both in same ownership...nothing definitive. Dandrew99

    Arkle
    Said Blue Lord runs.
Haut En Couelurs and Saint Sam likely runners at the moment but either could go to the Turners.
Thinks Edwardstone is the right fav! It's between the two...

    Champion Hurdle
Appreciate It and Saint Roi - both to run.
AI in brilliant form, very very fit, work has been very, very good... but will be a very tough task. "Hers to lose"
"Was ready to run at the DRF, was only 90% fit, so decided to leave it, 100% fit now and ready to go."
"Has course form, handles the track"
    "He's in brilliant order"
"Going more in hope than expectation"

    Mares Hurdle
Strong hand. Stormy Ireland will take the beating!
    Didn't mention the others.

    Boodles
    Gaelic Warrior
    Talked up Gordons

    NH Chase
Stattler - if the rain comes, that'll be hugely in his favour
Ontheropes - soft ground wouldn't help him
The "interview" cut out after day 1, can only hope day 2/3/4 follow! Be a long night

      He just mentioned them?

      Subtle but key difference?

I would need to watch it back though, you could be spot on!
Just flicked back. The quote is, “we could also run State Man or Bring on the Night. Both are owned by the same owner so I imagine only one of them will run”.

Will you allow me to stand by my ‘probably one will run’?

I preferred your response if that makes you feel better

          Haha, I would.

That quote is closer to implying one will probably run than not.

            It does

Tell you what Daragh O’Keefe is good on these panels. Good knowledge. Some jockeys are just there for the halibut but he knows the form and cards well.

Shit stream, missed whatever was said about Ballymore.... also most of Browns.

Did say something along the lines of GDC losing an advantage at 3m, his run style suits the Turners.

              Ryanair
              Talked up Allaho.... obv.

              Stayers
Klassical Dream - Hoping he'll be back on song. Flooring Porter will be hard to beat. Happy with Klassical Dream, course winner. Compeititive race but fancy our chances.
Melon and Asterion Forlonge mentioned but not as like runners.

Nothing qualified in the Pertemps, nothing in the Plate. Or Kim Muir (may have missed it)

              Mares Novice Hurdle
Strong in this, disappointing to lose ADV. Paul was adament he'd have won left handed on Brandy Love. "Paul very sweet on her"
Dinoblue was really impressive, work has been very [cut out]!!!!
Grangee would have been involved according to Cooper...

              Triumph
Vauban - Been improving a lot. Going to be competitve. Think he's up to the task.

              Albert Bartlett
"We'll run Minella Cocooner who won at DRf (bit of a shock to us)" - also said Ramillies might run, The Nice Guy will run and Classic Getaway might.

No standout - all be with a chance

The Nice Guy does nothing at home, but the one he talked up the most! Saves a lot for the track. Very relaxed. Could run very well.

              Gold Cup

Hugely open race. Nothing stands out. Might run Asterion Forlonge / Melon.

Al Boum Photo isn't out of it. No stronger than last few years. Can run a very good race.

No surprise if anything in the first 5 wins it. A Plus Tard he gives main mention.

Tornado Flyer - will hunt around first circuit, hopefully comes home well

              Hunters Chase

Billaway - huge amount of beating. Cheekpieces will improve him a lot.

              Mares Chase

Elimay should have won last year
Mount Ida did beat her - she'd have a squeak in GC.

              Pipe/County
Not really sure any horses will go yet. All options are open.
1 ot 2 in County and Pipe. Not lots!
Echoes in Rain might turn up in Mares Hurdle.

50 euro e/w charity free bet was Icare Allen in the Triumph (assume I missed that bit!) at 16/1

If he doesn't run, Stormy Ireland!

                  • I often go back through previous years previews to look at whats said, who talks shit and who is shrewd. Lets just say I listen when Jane Mangan speaks, she's very good.

                    • If you don't have loads of time , watch the Off the fence one with < Vanessa Ryles , Barry Geraghty and Tony Keenan .
Absolutely Rattled through the races in that one . Some interesting points made in there too .

She usually points to the winner of the Hunters Chase. Did she give anything this year?

She's brilliant. Best part of the ITV coverage by a long way.

                            • Jane Mangan not being attached to a specific yard helps, so she can give a good separate analysis. You could say the same here of Gary O'Brien and Gavin Lynch. Listening to them, they've all done their homework.

David Casey singing the praises above of Stormy Island for the Mares was a surprise to read. We all forget very quickly about these preview nights once the racing comes along. Mostly entertainment and not to be taken seriously for me.

There does seem more and more this year as well, the cynic in me just sees bookie sponsored events, little more than marketing really.
