if the 7lb claimer rides he’ll look attractive to some.
in fact the related double with school boy in the Kim muir isn’t daftest idea
Someone like Jack Foley getting 5lb would be fantastic.

I realise I didn't make that obvious, but it was aimed at Q, which was discussed before.

Just interesting how much weight you put on that one stat compared to the others, where I'd say being unexposed over the trip is actually a positive in his particular case. Obviously the plan was to find out if he would improve for the step up beforehand anyway...

Should probably close this thread and move over to the Ultima thread

That 1 stat has been going as long as this race. Its the most important one for me. Yes, lets move over to the Ultima thread & leave GQ for next year

I was surprised he wasn’t entered so assumed he’d had a setback at the time
him and full back are both ones I’ve not backed yet as I expect prices to hold but will be watching closely
I have the same doubt about the wolf and also expect price to hold.
the other 2 if declared I expect to run well although I hope floured don’t run really
cloudy glen will hose up if on a going day.
if prominent early I’ll be getting excited
However he’s as likely to PU
but 33-1 is massive for a Ladbroke winner off 6lb more, especially given the distances that say.
I may be wrong but I think the Ultima used to be known as the National Hunt Handicap or something along those lines….

Ben Dundee is one I also think has a good chance of placing but also has an entry in the Plate. He has placed in the Plate before when trained by Gordy and also has form on the Old Course when placed in the now defunct Novices Handicap.

The Irish don’t have a fantastic record in the Ultima but I think Ben Dundee would certainly have a chance if he came here.

          • ….Sky offer Galahad Quest win today & Ultima @ 125-1. That would’ve been quite popular.

Absolute clowns, pricing up a horse that isn't entered for a race, I mean it's not like a standard market where they can just copy the competition, someone has had to put some thought into that.
              Dreadful outfit these days...

I echo this, i done 3 bets with skybet on gallahad quest..i backed him outright NRNB and have been refunded then i bet a 4 fold footy accumalator which won and last leg as gallahad quest outright nrnb..his part was voided and my bet returned me the winning section..FINE

but then my third bet i put quite a bit on the 4 fold but with gallahad quest to place (5 places) NRNB as my last selection but they arent settling my bet..the 4 fold alone is worth a good ammount so id like it settled..got on the chat and they are saying after final decs we will settle it..i said but you have settled the others so why is this..just got aload of bollocks about final decs..i can only assume they are waiting to see if he is supplemented? I know ill get paid out but id rather have it BEFORE the ultima is finished!

Didn’t quite stay I didn’t think, so can’t see he’d of got the 3 miles at Cheltenham.

                          • Well I had to give GQ one more chance, backed it early four places and finishes one place out of places Have to laugh, good shout from Spectre mind, well worth a bet. Ran really well, appeared not to quite stay.

Agree. Trainer did all NRNB punters a favour by not entering him. Silver lining!!!

Unless you were greedy like myself and took the 33s antepost, then backed him for today double whammy! But we move on! He’ll turn up and win the plate now as I haven’t backed him!
