I like Eclair Surf, but he's running in the Eider tomorrow which suggest the Ultima is a 'just in case' entry. Certainly a 4 mile marathon isn't ideal in the context of the Ultima two and half weeks later.Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

likely to stay on Irish mark of 146 seeing as handicapper left school boy on Irish mark of 142
and he ran well in the plate off 147
if the 7lb claimer rides he’ll look attractive to some.
in fact the related double with school boy in the Kim muir isn’t daftest idea

I'm curious what your angle is on Ben Dundee doctorwu as you were strongly opposed to Galahad Quest because of trends? I assume you're a trends man which I totally understand, but he doesn't exactly come out well...
Six of the last seven ran at Cheltenham that season.
Eight of the last nine had run at a previous Festival.
Seven of the last nine no older than eight.
10 of the last 13 won by either novices or second season chasers.
All winners this century had recorded their best RPR over at least 3 miles.
Four of the last 8 ran in the Newbury Ladbroke Chase. Three others were novices.
No Irish trained winner since 2006.
Seven of the last eight rated at least 142
No winner with a letter as its last race form since 1997.
18 from last 20 no more than one career fall
Been somewhat generous by giving him the best RPR one, he's ran to 152 once over 3 miles on Good to Yielding ground and once over 2m4. He's also never won over 3 miles, ran 13 times over fences, hasn't ran in the last 60 days, all going against him too. Doesn't exactly seem like a trends pick to me?
Also bit confused by the NH Chase talk, he's not entered, or even a novice?

And another read of what I said should ease the confusion

Edit... seen your replies. All good was genuinely going a bit nuts and wondering if there was some random rule I wasn't aware of, or if there was another Ben Dundee somewhere

Cheltenham Festival: Ben Dundee aimed at Kim Muir or National Hunt Chase after fine Leopardstown runBen Dundee just beaten by School Boy Hours in Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown; trainer Andrew Lynch to choose between Kim Muir and National Hunt Chase for ten-year-old; Ben Dundee finished fifth in the Plate Handicap Chase at the 2020 Festival
I assume that's the article. Pretty terrible reporting that, all the trainer said was "He'll go to Cheltenham for one of those amateur races,".

i saw he got 146 and put 2 +2 together that the Kim muir would be out
but missed the beginner he won back in the day
