Yeah saw someone mention it. It is also worth more than the Ultima to the winner.

What are we expecting in terms of a run? I imagine something to not damage the mark whilst also not getting dropped either too significantly

As it a bigger pot than the Ultima, surely if he runs he tries to win?

He could probably do with going up 3-4 pounds to be more assured of getting into the race and this is the last day for being reassessed before the weights are determined. On that basis, he would need to run well to get an increased rating so, as CaT says, he may as well win (snugly), get the big pot and go up six pounds. If Spectre's right, that would not stop him.

Id not be concerned if he is 3rd or 2nd or even 4th? Courses are completely different and hes obviously more
comfortable at cheltenham so the improvement would come in the ultima in my opinion, so i think we just want to see a good solid run where he is staying on well..3 miles at kempton seems to be for 2.4 milers elsewhere so he true test is likely cheltenham IMO

Trainer thinks flatter tracks may suit him more, so doesn't agree with this line of thought.
                Unless he's lying.

                  Surely at it?

Won twice in his career, once at Cheltenham and once at Haydock.

Surely the trainer would have had this opinion before now, yet has ran him 3 times at Cheltenham this season

I thought it was the jockey that said it? Maybe I’ve misremembered it

Kind of both. But you're more correct.
Trainers quote, that Noonan mentioned to him that a flat track may be better.
Someone needs to block off all the other roads he's thinking about taking.

Any chance of getting AB on the trip?

Driving down the Monday and staying in Bristol for a couple of nights. AB only knows a couple of us so I doubt he'd be keen either way

Sorry I am from Ireland, regrettably not travelling over this year. But just for future reference, how do you commute from Bristol to Cheltenham then? Is there much hassle getting there or do they run buses or trains?
