Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Petition Allow spectators back into watch British horse racing at racecourses

Open all British horse racing courses to the general public as soon as possible to save jobs, boost the economy & improve many racing fans mental health.

There are thousands of jobs in British horse racing, millions of pounds is generated from horse racing for the economy. The longer courses are closed to the general public the danger is they could close forever, trainers will go out of business & owners will stop supporting the sport which will cause thousands of job losses & put the sport in huge danger & a huge loss to the economy. Horse racing is an outdoor activity & is a boost for many racing fans mental health.

Cheers for highlighting Kev. I've signed, as with the other sports one that was around a few weeks ago. Although I think it will be rather fruitless

Done. They'll have to open up soon or there will be no courses to race on.

Just to add, if anyone has any contacts within the bookmaking industry who might be able to get behind this too (link on website) that would attract an enormous response...

Signed. Could rant for days on the subject as i'm sure we all could. Local shopping centre was heaving on a recent visit but P2P's involving a couple of tents and masses of open countryside are behind closed doors... Inconsistencies are driving me fucking mad!

...Ladbroke/Coral deserting their on-course betting operations, a further sign of the times.

Hills did that about 18 months ago, suggests a reform of the SP system is coming as the high st bookies only exist so they can control shop prices...

Signed. Though I think we’re pissing in the wind. Realistically the government will find it easy to put the issue of sports clubs and venues like racecourses on the backburner whilst the death rate continues to rise.

Unfortunately I would imagine we will lose at least one or two tracks from coronavirus - even if it’s indirectly from it in the aftermath in a couple of years time.
