Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

    • We must all remember Kilcruit was bred by Willie's mother. I think he'd have more emotion Kilcruit winning than Sir Cheeseburger.

      • Considering SG has had to move stables and needs to settle in maybe he should be put by for the Aintree race

        • Sir Gerhard is pretty weak on the exchanges.

Not sure if there is anything in it or the fact people have cottoned on to the words of Dave Arthur.

I hope not too. It's not as if he's being laid for big odds TBF, just very little in the lay side and fair amounts trying to be matched in the 'back' side.

would be strange considering the money in the last 24/48 hrs with the bookies, I hate the run up to the festival this close

                • I always found it a bit odd that SG was the only one not to go to HDB, particularly when Mullins already had the favourite - even more a conflict of interest when the horse is part of the family. it doesn’t add up

I know what you mean, but they did have Ferny Hollow there and it'd make more sense to have a bumper horse with Willie than Henry, all due respect to the latter. Hopefully nothing in it, we're all edgy as fuck at the moment Proper love/hate relationship with the build up to this daft festival.

Best trainer of horses probably but definitely the best trainer of young/bumper horses no ?
My guess is they felt their horse would be in better hands, I wouldn’t have thought HDBs record with bumper horses compares...

He wasn’t the only horse Willie got - he also got Classic Getaway (cost 570k) & Grangeclare West (cost 430k) - so given they already have Ferny Hollow & Allaho it’s really just evening it up between the 2 stables.

I know what you mean.. as a 6 year old could they skip hurdles with SG though? That would likely mean him and Ferny over fences. That said Ballyadam at HDB would mean the same if he can jump one!

                            • Couple of Q&As from Jamie Codd on ATR online last night:

How would Sir Gerhard and Three Stripe Life compare in their work on the gallops?

They are two very different horses. Sir Gerhard is a six-year-old and is well-built and ready for a Champion Bumper. Three Stripe Life is only a five-year-old with one run. He's not at the same level as Sir Gerhard at the moment, but in time he could get there.

Hi Jamie, which horse would you like to ride in the Bumper?

Kilcruit was very impressive at Leopardstown and it was an awesome performance. But Sir Gerhard is a horse I know really well, is arguably just as strong on form so I'd have to choose him.

Sure it was only the other week on a preview that he said he'd choose Three Stripe Life. Maybe the Cheveley Park moves were still a bit too raw.
