Champion Bumper 2021

Ginto is entered up in a bumper at Fairyhouse on Sunday. I was thinking he’d be held back for Punchestown but it seems they’re cracking on which is not surprising given the investment. I’ll be getting him onside as Gordon won’t shy away from multiple runners if they’re good enough. Ginto was already on my tentative list for the Ballymore 2022 and I’m glad they’re not holding him back for bumpers next season. For the same connections; Queensbrook won her PTP in November before winning a bumper at Gowran in February and subsequently finishing third at the Festival. The reason I like Ginto out of all the recent expensive recruits (apart from the performance) is because he was trained by Elliott for his PtP and he would have been instrumental in keeping the horse in the yard with one of his best owners. He’ll know how good he is and can compare against his own ranks. I’m also trying to avoid backing too many Getaway progenies too next season
”It is notable that he has achieved an exceptional rating of 95+ for his performance which puts him in the same level at this stage of his career as Envoi Allen, Ballyadam, Malone Road, Know The Score and others so all the signs are suggesting this fellow could go all the way.”
“He’s a good horse. In fairness, he works with all the good horses at home and we fancied him coming here today and was one that we were looking forward to. He’s there to be sold.” Gordon Elliott

I agree CCM, another to back now and watch shorten hopefully! Always more wary with PP than 365 but still....
