  • Think he was third reserve and didn't get in. Does seem odd though if they were willing to go over hurdles to imo waste a season staying in bumpers.

It's podsible, currently William Hill have him priced up as second favourite behind Sir Gerhard.

Gavin Lynch added him on upping the ante now so 14's unlikely going to be there in a bit.

He was reserve in the infamous Capodanno race at Clonmel.

Yeah but Patricks comment about staying in bumpers are the most recent quotes so best to go off those I would think

              • Patrick's quote was:
"I hope he will stay in bumpers this season!”

Probably wishful thinking when Willie said he expected him to go hurdling sooner rather than later.

Think they are earlier quotes - the one Sunday was below, which you'd assume was after he was given the chance to speak to Willie & Owners from day before

I think he will stay bumpering
Talked about giving him the chance to prove he's a grade 1 bumper horse

                        • I know someone mentioned Brandy Love being entered in the fillies flat race on Saturday at Fairyhouse.

Do we see her being aimed at the champion bumper?

Suppose it depends if she’s good enough, really, but ultimately I think she stays in bumpers this season so you’d say that would be the ultimate goal providing shes up to that level. She seems well thought of, so you’d hope be winning on debut, then all being well your sat on a bigger price & can figure out if you want to proceed with the bet or not. That’s my thinking anyway & have backed her.

Different connections I know but Willie Mullins also trains Brooklynn Glory who ran well LTO in a bumper and is quite well fancied in the betting. Maybe he is trying to find out their pecking order, especially also having recently run Kilcruit. I guess he could go mob handed like he used to a few years back.

                                It's a good question.

On one hand there is quite a good mares bumper program so she may keep to her own sex and therefore miss Cheltenham

on the other, "she's one of willie's" and we know how he loves to have runners at the festival and he has an outstanding record in the champion bumper.

I haven't completely made my mind up yet but may well chance her before her run on saturday (if declared)
