No chance. Tried and trusted Bumper route for their best animals.

Not a chance he goes hurdling this season when Cheveley Park have the winners of Supreme and Ballymore already imo.

Also think connections looking for a bit of history , winning three bumpers on the bounce.

Easywork won the same bumper last season aged 5 and went hurdling after that.

                  Very tidy intro.
Haha, it's nice to all get over excited though. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

Someone will moan that everyone is getting carried away soon.

Not a lot else to be excited about in the world though at the moment

On Sir Gerhard, Elliott said: "He is a nice horse. We might go to Navan now for that Listed bumper and see where we go from there."

Took a chance that Sir Gerhard will jump a hurdle this season.
Really would be unwise IMO to not do so.
Let him see if he can be a champion rather than waste a season in bumpers.
Not a great record for horses going novice hurdling at age 7.

No horse over age 6 has won the ballymore since 1998
And I think only Captain CeeBee has won the supreme in last 20 years aged 7.

Might as well see if he's in the same league as the others, as surely the Champion hurdle is on the wishlist.

Bumper all the way then. Now 5/1 !

Another WwwwwwwwwoooooooooooSSsssssssssssHHHHHHHHHH moment again today, and for the right horse.

Gordon nominated the Listed Navan Bumper next up which Envoi Allen won in mid-December two years ago, so not much chance of anything but Bumpers if that is the plan.

After that, if all is well, to complete the Envoi Allen route it would be the DRF Grade 2 Bumper in February, and then the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham.
"Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

Unfortunately Sir Gerhard cannot win the Bumper. Sorry guys. Since it's inception I've never had the winner. Sadly, I've backed him.

Sir Gerhard. Envoi Allen. Ballyadam. Ferny Hollow. Quilixios. A Plus Tard.

Faugheen. Douvan. Annie Power. Djakadam. Vroum Vroum Mag. Vautour.

I genuinely believe this current Cheveley Park/Elliott crop are the match for the great Ricci/Mullins collection of a few years ago.

One could easily suggest that Cheveley’s new ‘kids on the block’ are indeed the ‘new’ Ricci/Mullins superstars of old.

Minus the pink & green silks and with extra scarlet red, blue and white sash.
