Where does he say that, as a tweet or on a podcast?

It's in the last minute of the Betfair podcast that was released yesterday. Someone had asked a question about SG because of the rumour floating around so they contacted GE and he said all was well.

      • Fair play to them for asking the question. But I suspect the answer is a half truth at best - if everything had gone to plan, he’d be running at the weekend - Envoi Allen did, and after his last victory Elliott said SG would. It might have cleared up now, but I’d say there must have been some sort of issue

He has had enough runs, plenty of horses go straight there to avoid a tough race, I wouldn't read anything into it like that all, he also has others to get out.

Or the other thing I can think of is he wants to let the Moran's (Hollow Games) and Brown's (Chemical Energy) get the chance to get a Grade 2. He does think that SG is the best of them and looks to have the better chance at Cheltenham and already has a Listed bumper.

Maybe I’m just sceptical, it just seems a little coincidental he says that days after rumours he would miss it due to an infection

              • Heavy currently on the hurdle and bumper course (soft on chase). As long as hes grand i dont see any issue in skipping a hard race on heavy the month before the festival

                • No big surprises, Jamie Codd on this weeks FFP podcast said that Sir Gerhard would be his pick to ride of Elliott's horses for the Ch Bumper

I do love CE, but SG always spoken about as the yard’s number 1

Who was Willie's number 1 last year? Doesn't mean number 2 can't wait...especially in this race.

                          • To be fair Ferny Hollow was the hype horse coming into the season he just disappointed initially

                              They wouldn't know?

Last year Power Of Pause won at least one of Willie's schoolling bumpers... which was kind of leaked... and he ended up being no where near the best.

                              • its interesting that letsbeclearaboutit is such a big price when SG got so much praise for beating well last time out.

even with hype around SG if we see one of the others beat letsbeclear by similar margin how short could they go?
