Hello Fat Jockeys,

Sounds like he might not do too much this year

He’s a gorgeous Buck’s Boum horse and we really like him. He’ll have a run or two this year but is one we like a lot a lot for the future.

Seems to show that the good ones may be coming out early.

In the Racing Post Patrick Mullins mentioned a Graded race at Navan, if it didn't come too soon.

He then mentioned they hope she may be classy enough for Aintree.

I am assuming that means the Grade 2 at April's Grand National meeting.
Sounds like they'll be skipping Cheltenham then for Aintree ?

Like most horses with options, their future runs could alter plans.
if she gets better and better then why not take in the Grade 1 at Cheltenham.
Willie will have so many possible Festival Bumper runners that he will gauge where she sits in the list when the time comes for the Entries to be made in mid-February.

Mullins likes to run a decent mare in the bumper. They have a great record considering how many mares run. If she's good enough (and she could be) I think she'll be heading for Prestbury Park.

Really good. Not usually Nicholls' MO to send one here though, is it?

It was. Harry Cobden never moved a muscle on it.

No he won't send any to the bumper, he talked recently about sending Ask for Glory and taking a year to recover from the race. Be surprised if he sends any to the race going forward.

I just didn't know where else to stick it

                          • Keith D on Sir Gerhard

Sir Gerhard was everything we hoped he would be when winning the bumper easily on Saturday. That was very impressive and he looks special. He showed a lot of flash on Saturday, but this horse is definitely a grinder as well.

If he can keep progressing like this we might have another machine on our hands!
