Of course I'd agree but you're saying at this stage the ones that slip by aren't important, whereas I'm sayingIm still looking, therefore nI am tying to not miss them.

Don't get me wrong big man, if you don't place another bet I think you'll be up.... and looking at my diary, I'd be fucking flabbergasted if I wasn;t up too.... .but why would I pull up stumps now?

I want to win all 28 races?

Otherise I could have just backed Envoi Allen at 4/1, had 4 pts e/w on and decided the rest of the festival was pointless until the day.

Whilst I;m not knocking that, it's not the way I'd like to enjoy, or maximise, my festival.

As soon as chelt is over, the current plan is that Everything bar the daily bets and the chelt review. Will be free to view until 5th of april. So you will be able to see rightly or wrongly where we differ, and where I think you have gone wrong.

Ofcourse I may be wrong.. time will tell. But spending 12 hours a day plus, everyday. I would be dissapointed if I do not get the results I expect.

I wish you the best of luck with your bets, obvs the ones that we have in common, I would like to think will have decent chances, obvs as I also feel the same about the ones of mine where we differ.

the only one I feel I have missed is monkfish. but I'm waiting patuently to make a move in that race, 1 race certainly wont make or break, and I still may win that one yet.
Here, here. Sad to say I probably spend more than 12 hours per day 'studying' as plenty on here will know. As with previous years I really hope it'll all be worth it. There may still be value in 9/4 on Monkfish now as all comers are falling by the wayside. You'll have to be quick though ! I'm happy for anyone to beat the bloody enemy so the very best of luck with all your bets/tips Scooby. Let's hope Cheltenham is good to the both of us. I can't wait..........again !

I feel that's kind of ignoring scoobys results?

There's a reason he's been able to set up his own business compared to lobos getting 0 points in the tipping comp.

Not meaning to be offensive of course but for me they're not even comparable?

A little harsh maybe, but I can take it. As everyone knows I don't bet on a daily basis and all my efforts are centered on 4 days a year only. My portfolio is there for all to see so I'll happily be judged on that come Friday Tea time of the Fez. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Not sure I follow? What has anyone’s previous results got to do with asking if he didn’t like monkfish or envoi allen?

Scooby named the horses he had backed that lobos was on and thought it was strange he didn’t mention those two.

My friend, if I didn't KNOW you could take it I wouldn't say it... I'm 'harsher' on you than anyone because I know 100% you can hold your own and give as good as you get! You take more from me than anyone and give it back haha.

Your 'portfolio' being there for all to see is because I badgered you for so long, and I'm grateful it is.... which means no-one will knock you now for it, as it's backed up.

Disagreeing is fine of course, and therefore.... that's why I've piped up.... I think you stippong now, thinking you are 'done' is bananas. I know I back more between Jan and March than I do March to Dec.... it's just crazy to think you've got it sewn up.

I'm not surprised to see Scooby91 agree, and whilst I've had more arguements with him that I think anyone on here has, the facts are, he's got the best results of anyone that's ever posted regularly on here...

You know though, when we are all allowed for a beer in real life, you're right near the top of my list haha

Sorry Kautostar , I tagged you but it was more aimed at Lobos.

You're bang on to question it.... I'm not the tipster so it's not my place to answer. If I was a tipster though, I wouldn't be earning my dough tipping Envoi Allen and Monkfish even if I did like them them.... unless at some stage they were ridiculously over-priced.

You only need to go back to last year to look at the number of "good things" beaten, so I can see why tipsters don't rely on it.

I personally think scooby has proven himself, but I've seen him on here for 4+ years and annoyingly have only got 2 examples of him being proper wrong in that time. I'm "proper wrong" at least once a week

I thought you were married Kev, in which case this should read twice a night...

                  • Monkfish was 8/1, there is very little that I put up that short, so I wanted to see him run first, was very impressive and cut hugely, alot more than I thought he would be pre race, and subsequently went to a price which I couldnt put up.

Envoi, when my service started he was already a price I couldn't put up. Iv mentioned all throughout I cant see him beat and that anyone would be foolish to back against him, bar nearer the time EW or on the day EW. I have yet to put anything up in that race.

No excuses really other than personal preference.

Haha, have you seen my wife ?

She's too nice to "argue".... that's why I vent on here

                      • Just catching up on this conversation reminds me of my ever evolving strategy over the last few years which is really about what % of your bank you bet and when and also how you split between AP and NRNB.

Have to say my first year was closer to Lobos than Scooby and Kev are arguing as I also felt most of the value had gone out of the non-handicap markets by the end of Jan. I actually did just fine that year but in hindsight I think this was a riskier approach and the last 2 years I’ve moved more towards a 60:40 split between AP and NRNB and am happy to plough through the Feb-March period continuing to look for opportunities. I also get stuck into the handicaps now where I shied away from them before.

It's very clear there is no actual right or wrong.

Scooby and I do it very differently, and he does better than I do.... but I know 100% I couldn't do what he does... due to personal preference. Which in principle is no difference to what Lobos is saying... so while I will challenge that, it's the same as anyone challenging me
