    • ....Sky have;

      Espoir de Romay win Saturday & a/r 50-1.

      With a forecast cold few days I suppose there has to be a doubt about this weekends racing.

            Like the look of this - boosted to 44/1 & taken

            • Some nice prices there Eggs but my concern is that even if they win tomorrow will they win at the Festival. Nassalam could bolt up tomorrow but still not be good enough to win the Triumph. I’ll probably cover Nassalam & Blue Lord but not convinced they are both good enough. I hope I’m proved wrong tomorrow

                Thats a good price on Bob ollinger

                Say he goes off 6/4 wins and is cut to 4/1-5/1 that pays 11.5/1-14/1

                  ...I think that’s the question you always have to ask for these offers, TKP. The bottom line is whether you want them onside in your portfolio, or you might want to top up what you already have.

                  Its a good market to play but I suggest you have to be quite selective on what you take up.

                    Some of them can be great value post race. I was on the Metier double for the Tolworth/Supreme last Saturday and seeing how much his price had been cut post race I’m very glad I did. I then lost on the 4 to win today bets I placed on the Sunday in Ireland so it’s a bit of a burnt wallet talking here also. I think I’ll back Nasslam for tomorrow as I was going top up on him anyway but will probably leave the rest as the Lawlors looks a potential tricky race for Bob Olinger

                      Absolutely. It's so easy to get sucked in by what appears attractive odds. However, there's no point getting involved at all unless you actually believe they have a very good chance of winning at the Fez. If you've not backed them by now as singles then the chances are you don't fancy them anyway so don't get involved. Plus, if you already have enough on a horse don't be greedy and feel that you need to 'top up'. Being selective and more importantly disciplined when betting AP is the two most important things I've learned over the years.

                        ....yep, I’m chuffed with some of the ones I had an interest in. It also gives a little interest in a race outcome where you might not have backed one.

                        I captured Metier offer too. One of my favourites is the 250-1 Cloth Cap winning the Ladbroke/National & 25-1 place. It was a horse I was going to back anyway but for a small stake I now have a decent potential return.

                              I generally agree with this with the exception of horses where you have relatively few data points on and have not covered in a market. Blue Lord for me is the perfect example. I have no idea how good he is and I don’t mind admitting it. The 50s originally on offer (40s AR) were a no brainier for me and a way of me covering a potential exposure with little outlay. It would have been an unnecessary risk not to cover him when only the race Sunday would provide sufficient information for me to have a strong opinion on the horse.

                                ...yep, another I’ve had a little interest in (a/r) for exactly the same reason. Blue Lord has been highlighted on this site by a number of posters, so it is an opportunity to get it in the bag at a fancy price.
