I took the 25’s on Nassalam with B365, if he loses today I’ll get most of it back unless it’s a dire performance.

He'll struggle to lose at 1/10.

Kotkijet not having him as the strongest prospect makes me worry for him as a long term Triumph prospect, so I'd prefer cashout than the 28/1 special personally.

If he wins today and gets cut, but then gets beaten in a tougher assignment next time out, you may get 100% of your money back.

If he wins today but ends up beaten NTO and you've got the special, you're potentially just on a non-runner for just 3 points more.

I’ve lost on a few odds on favourites over the past fortnight so would prefer to get something back than nothing at all and even at 1/10 on there’s are risks for an extra 3 points.

It is definitely the latter!

But, he could of course still be something special. He just needs better opposition to prove it against.

I’m reluctant to bet any more of these To Win Today and a future target until the day of each race after Altior to ensure they turn up in the race on the day but hopefully that Sky Bet on Goshen will still be 20/1

Another thing to wait for in my opinion is whether there is any market support for them on the day of the race. That is where this bet they can be of real value, if they get hammered for the race that day you know they are expected to be trying and assuming the win double price stays the same it becomes better value. To put another way should Goshen drift on Saturday that 16/1 becomes less value.

Be surprised if Boothill ends up in the Supreme. Even if good enough he'll likely take the Ballymore route. His breeding, and him coming from the P2P sphere should be quite telling.

I just messaged Hills about pricing up Patroclus to win at Warwick tomorrow and any race at Festival so will update if they get back to me.

Court Maid puzzles me on Friday, that’s a very competitive handicap she’s entered taking on Black Corton. I can’t work out if she’s been sent over to experience the course or over to genuinely compete. If she wins on Friday will they still go for the NHC or aim higher or maybe the Ultima??

She is well in on the handicap. Carries a penalty of 5lb only for her last runaway win.

Her Irish mark is 5lb lower than the UK mark she runs off on Friday, given UK would “tax” Irish horses a few lbs for underrating their horses c/w the UK, she could be around 10lb better off on Friday than if she entered to run in the UK again.
