  • If Belle Metal wins the Limerick bumper tomorrow, you'd think her 2022 Mares Novice price will contract bearing in mind the connections.

    • I see Jonbon won. Didn’t see the race, only the result so no idea how convincing

Travelled nicely, and quickened away from the field when asked. Won easy enough without being super impressive. I liked that he looks straight forward and professional, definitely not a head case like flinteur sacre.

Won like an odds on shot should, was impressive without being particularly special, time will tell etc... Happy just to not have a Festival 22 bet go down in March 21 anyway

              • If your on at 33/1 or 35/1 for supreme should be happy enough with that punt at the moment. If your backing at 10/1 or 12/1 that he is now your mad!

                • Just seen the finish of Twitter. Yes, looked good enough. I was quite taken with the second too. One for the tracker.

                  • I took 20’s on Jon Bon before the off today with B365 making it my first Antepost bet for 2022. I think the price was poor pre race but I took knowing if he won it would half. His price post race is woeful. I wasn’t blown away with his performance today but he won convincingly and given Henderson’s current form hopefully there is a lot more improvement to come next season when Henderson is back to the standard expected and over hurdles at the earliest opportunity as expected. Let’s hope he can stay fit and give Henderson a decent chance in next years Supreme after this Festivals no show in the novice hurdle races.

                    • Henderson said after the race that Jonbon had very little training with him and was certainly not wound up to win today, he had only done 3 or 4 pieces of work, but from that he could see he is a bit special.
i fully expect dramatic improvement next season, when he does get back to Seven Barrows and gets into full training, he won today from talent not fitness, he already seems to know his job and how to race, which will be a head start next season

Hardly value as its 33-1 in their Arkle market & as big as 50-1 with 365.

Hobbs did say that TH would be going chasing next season but that was before his injury and missing the Stayers. Do we think he'll keep to hurdling for unfinished business or keep to the original plan ?? I'm 50/50.

I've gone in and backed for the old RSA with cashout.

I can't help but think they may be tempted to stay hurdling, especially if he wins at the weekend. Think the 28/1 is a decent bet, wins he shortens for the Stayers, loses and I'd expect them to go chasing.
