It would feel like such an odd thing to do as well. If he gets turned over at Aintree or doesn’t take to the fences he’d look like foolish, having not defended his title at Cheltenham. I’d imagine someone will surly have a word with him.Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

David Jenning's mentioned Vaucelet on upping the anti , quite a while ago . Oct/Nov.?.
The Trainer -D .M Christie ? has Winged Leader ? as well.
I've backed Vaucelet , hoping he's the one out of those two , only 6 or 7 though .
so might be a year or two early. for a hunter chaser.

I've had a few as usual but fairly sure that's the right horse.

Not one I’m particularly fond of, in a race I don’t get too involved with.
For WPMullins Diary reasons - I’ve had to have a bet on Pont Aven in the Hunters.
It will probably be the only bet I have in that race.
Only a 9yo and a decent past at Willie’s.
I highlighted him back in July when constructing the Willie Mullins Diary as one of the more likely experienced Handicap Chasers that Willie may enter for the Festival. (See link)
Then 3 months later he was sold, and the new owner has won a P2P and Hunter Chase recently and they’re headed for Cheltenham.
I’d feel sick if I didn’t back him now I know he’s headed here, and in decent form.
Just in case, he turned into a serious contender for this race.

With Bob and co not winning at the weekend and dolphin square winning his Hunter Chase last week fairly routinely RPR 140 , I've taken the view dolphin square will come here. Having won a class 2 3m handicap hurdle race on new years day off a mark of 139, on the new course, he has shown a liking for Cheltenham, he has made an improvement of 9lbs over hurdles this season, a similar improvement over fences seems likely on last week's evidence, that would see him rated in the 146 region, this is just my opinion.
At 14/1 and having ran an rpr of 140 last week when a normally very animated David Maxwell barely moved, improvement for Cheltenham is certainly possible and I'd love to cheer home a very likeable character even if his riding style isn't everyone's cup of tea.
