Maybe, maybe not, there just aren't a huge amount of horses to talk about yet. I like the race personally, partly because I love going to point to points and you always live in hope you might see a good 'en one day. Plus it's just an interesting puzzle, a bit different from the rest. You should probably go to more PTP's yourself if you don't already do so given your latest fetish seems to be drinking in tents!

As a PTP man Viking I nominate you to come up with a PTP horse to take the Foxhunter by the balls.

Absolutely not I'm there for the beer tent, homemade cake, a chance to get the wellies out and desperately try and pretend i'm a country type. I did have Pacha Du Polder the year after Pendleton literally just sat on him and still somehow managed 5th though. Then stupidly swerved him the following year when winning at even bigger prices

Massively regret not backing PDP as well the year after that Pendleton circus farce. What was Nicholls thinking.

He is down to be trained in France by Emmanuel Clayeux

Suspect someone has bought him to be trained over here
A little bit of info on this

bought by mrs masterson and trained by Willie Mullins

Didn't realise we had this thread so I'll copy what I posted in the members section last week in case anyone missed.

"This may be of interest to some, it's not a race I usually target but I like to try and beat the odds and have at least some interest in each race so I thought I'd share this with you for the Hunters Chase.

Highway Jewel is generally 16-20/1 across the board although you can get 33s with William Hill. I know she was popular last year and the only reason she didn't run was because of an error with the entries meaning she wasn't entered. She's going to be running next Saturday in a P2P and the owners words were that connections are hoping she retains her old spark and they can aim towards Cheltenham again.

She has course form, winning last April by 5 lengths despite jumping badly, I'm happy enough that they'll be looking to straighten her up next weekend.

First two P2Ps aside, she has never finished out of the top two either and this is despite some sketchy jumps.

I know some of you will either not like this at all, not like the race or prefer to wait for NRNB but for a horse that was fancied last year and only didn't run due to an admin error, I think the 33s with Hills is more than fair."

Interesting shout. Is the owner going to ride?

Not to be confused with Highland Jewel, as on the RP possible entries. The flat maiden probably won't make a return from 12 years off the track.

I'd imagine he will although I didn't ask much other than the plans and how she was.

Just to note. She was on my shortlist, however she's jumped markedly right handed
