Maybe the jockey chucked away the stick before 2 out and a potential win to protect his mark for this haha

I've looked at the entire race entries for this race, and so far only 1 horse has stood out and its 'Good boy Bobby'. Recent outing at cheltenham his mark was 146 and came a fair 4th running on from the back and also beat Master Tommytucker in that handicap. Horse ran at Ascot and was running on again but from the back and to me it looked like the jockey was protecting its mark or trying hard enough to put the horse in a decent place to finish the race I felt. Horse is now on a mark of 142, I think also the horse prefers going left handed. Plus the trip would be no issue from the horses running style.
horse is about 50/1 on bet365 still.Last edited by Nathaniel99999; 31 January 2021, 05:32 PM.

Outside of the Pertemps Hurdle qualifying, there are so few horses that trainers will have confirmed to the public are heading for a specific handicap, just yet, as quite a lot of them will have their next race over the next three weeks, and find out what their handicap marks are - before their entries are decided.
I liked Good Boy Bobby last season.
I need to watch his races back that you have mentioned.
Thank you for your thoughts."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".
