        • I'm just pleased with the zillion NRMB points I'll get back, that'll feel like a win

            • PN & HC sound super confident on Houx Gris, clearly think he's very well handicapped.

Coltor has been smashed up today. Not sure if he's been tipped on a preview but its sea of blue stuff. I managed to get him in at 15.3/1 but he's 10 now with Hills. Lots of support.

Glorious Zoff also been hammered, which I know will please a few on here!

Everyone looks to be ignoring Elham
Valley who was given an equally soft ride in that Chepstow race, I said somewhere at the time that it looked like Sean and Paddy were both trying to finish 4th that day, Elham Valley has a few pound swing, 33/1 v 6/1...

                • I can remember backing aramax at either 7/1 or 8/1 the weekend before and him being about 14/1 on the morning last year (no BOG so not aftertiming ) For a race where the market is notoriously clueless a lot of these are awfully short now. Although the classiest horse has won the last 2 renewals and I do think that might become a bit more of a trend to be honest.

obvious nonsense .. the ability to give weight away is historically important to assesing good horses ..he wont run but as i tried to say on here it was never the longshot that some pretended

Backing something after it's 'gone blue' across the board is bananas anyway really, in any race, especially a handicap

Bar the odd gamble, the majority of horses in the handicaps will be bigger at some point now.

Houx Gris, Coltor - if they are never bigger than they are tonight I'll be amaaaaazed.

Someone put Coltor up a few days ago, ahead of the game

Not a horse that would interest me. EV was race fit at Chepstow and HG has travelled all over him and won with more in hand than the winning margin suggested. If EV ran well next time up I'd consider him, but he was poor at Haycock so he makes limited appeal in a very competitive race. I thought the case someone made for Homme Public was very solid for a 25/1+ type of price.

I took the view that his Sandown win ensured he would get a mark Fergal was happy with and his two subsequent runs were nothing more than leg stretches.
Fergal was quite positive in his recent media stuff.
I could easily have read it wrong but at 33s I’m happy having a stab...

Very true. I'll give his races another watch. I suppose these 'poor' runs are incredibly hard to weigh up when trainers are searching for low marks and jockeys are told to go easy.

The only race to watch is the Chepstow one, and if possible watch the head on view which shows both EV and HG virtually pulled up before the line in what looked to me as a clear battle between the pair to protect future marks.
                              Just my take of course...
