11/2 when boosted with Ladbrokes, he would go off 9/4 imo if he ran here

“The Triumph may be a little bit too quick for him, but we’ll see what Henry thinks later in the week."
Ok so run him on the Old course instead. Shrewd thinking
Let's hope Henry is a bit more rational in his thinking.
A Grade 1 winner dropping down to handicap company? Crazy.

The Boodles is run on the quicker course over 1/2F less, with 22 runners, giving some of them a stone-and-a-half.
The Triumph is over the stamina laden course, over further, at level weights, with fewer runners.
Its so obvious that the staying types run better on that course and that what the owner said is a nonsense.
Hopefully, it’s sounds like they may go with what Henry suggests, and he will choose the Grade 1."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

I'd take it as an almighty negative for the other 'Gordon' runners if they declare Quilixios personally, which is a shame, as they were my starting point.
I will however then decide Zanahiyr 2nd fav is a gift to try and capitilise.

Only had the 3 runs on the flat for Weld but rated 86. Previous flat starters been rated 77, 80, 82 & 94. Pretty sure he is highest rated flat horse in this.
Take French Assel out of his hurdling debut and he's won nicely, albeit well stuffed by FA but came from a good bit back.
Only 4th next time but reversed form with Zoffanien the next race where he relished the hill at Naas to win a tough race against Showbusiness and Zoffanien.
Still fairly inexperienced (only 6 total runs) but that Naas race surely will have helped him learn a bit. Weld has had Jack (twice) and Paul on him for his 3 hurdle starts.
Runs off 127, Zoffanien runs off 130.

Neither proved a match for a runaway winner on that occasion, but they showed plenty of promise by finishing second and third respectively, just four lengths apart. There was even less between them when they met again there the following month when Houx Gris beat Homme Public by a neck. Both geldings then joined British stables, with Houx Gris going to Paul Nicholls and Homme Public joining Oliver Greenall. Nicholls pitched Houx Gris straight into Grade 1 company in the Finale Juvenile Hurdle at Chepstow where he shaped better than his well-beaten third to Adagio and Nassalam suggests after making a mess of the second last. Greenall, on the other hand, has taken a lower-key approach with Homme Public who had a straightforward task at Market Rasen last time with a victory characterised by fluent hurdling.
The pair could meet for a third time on the first day of the Festival in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle where their French form suggests they’re both well treated, particularly Homme Public who is now 3 lb better off for that neck defeat when they last met. However, while Houx Gris is among the market leaders at around 6/1, Homme Public is as big as 33/1 in one list for a stable that’s enjoying its best season."
pretty compelling case that tbf

If the horse had been with him all season it wouldn't even have an entry in the race for the B-listers.
He's a graded race man not a handicap merchant by and large.
Find out what you've got for next season by taking on the cream of the crop.
