  • If the rumours are true, is it a possible worry that Mullins likes to bed horses into his regime for a period of time before running them? Are Cheveley Park potentially thinking of Quilixios skipping Cheltenham / the rest of the season altogether with a view on the novice chase campaign next year in mind? I certainly read quite a few quotes suggesting he was a real "chaser in the making".

IMO I think he will work him alongside FA and decide then, if FA is working all over him then keep him to next year, if not then send him Triumph. I think the Boodles is as good as off the table personally.

      • They aren't going to move him to Mullins, for Mullins to then decide he won't race at Cheltenham. If the original plan was to go to Cheltenham, then that remains. He won't just work him next to FA and if one works all over the other, one won't go. Some horses are brilliant work horses and some aren't.

....I suppose much will depend on the timing of the move. With just two weeks to the Festival, I suppose the physical move wouldn’t have to be immediate. The horses will be used to travelling to races, I just wonder if they might remain in Elliott yard until just before they come over.

This may well be the case when taking a horse from France or a PTP outfit but these are all established racehorses who are fit and preparing to run in the come competitive meeting of the year.
The risk is that some horses have reactions to certain bedding, feed etc but I'm sure the HDB/Mullins/Meade teams (and anyone else who receives horses) will be on top of this quickly...

I think owners will want to minimise the disruption of this incident so I imagine clearly defined targets will be honoured

Sort of surprised me as Sir G struck me as more a WPM horse than Henry. Then again that would be Sir G vs Kilcruit.
CPS more my line of thinkng then

Ignore this, he will either be going to Joseph or Willie, decision to be made around 6pm this evening.

                          PN Stable Tour today:

He was third in a Grade 1 at Chepstow for us on very heavy ground and won at Auteuil the time before. I probably ran him a bit too quick after we bought him, but he did run nicely. He galloped nicely this morning and off 128 in the Boodles he would have a nice chance. He's a lovely horse.

Usual pre chelt positivity you'd expect, plenty shorten off these sort of things but a fecking lottery as ever this race, folk will have beaten the price thou and that's half the battle.
