I gave it a write up in the Irish Race Planning Diary last night.
The declaration is a good sign. 16/1 NRNB with PP/BF for this race.
Most bookies aren't quoting her for this race.
Excellent placing from Gordon.
I posted after she won her maiden that Fred winter would be a possible, as that race has a decent history of his handicappers being placed also.
This just franks it further.
Be interesting to see how they run her.
It's a free hit really as she can always go triumph if she wins easily, but even more likely go for the mares novice if Zanayhir is still FAV.
A win for her and it's hard to see her rating being too high getting 15lb from 130 rated older horses.
She's probably got 5-6 lengths to play with, to earn a rating of low 130's (IRE) herself.
But that's in the hands of the capper.
How have Mares got on when running in the Boodles? I doubt many have taken their chance the same as 4yo's running in the Mares Novice Hurdle.
Can't be bothered looking as I don't think it matters, as aside from not getting a mares allowance in a handicap, it's just a matter of how good they are and what mark they run off. I don't like backing mares in handicaps that are rated highly, but anything mid 140's or below leaves room.
I Think Une Artiste won and she was a mare, and there maybe another one or 2 ran well in it also.

Based on France and her first run in Ireland I suspect she'd get something around 134-136, and then the UK handicapper has his say too. Therefore if the Boodles is the plan she won't be advertising her claims on Saturday. If she wins I'd guess she goes to the Mares Hurdle.

In the 16 years the Boodles has taken place, only 1 winner had won more than once in the season leading up to the race. 13 of the 16 winners were officially rated betwee 124 and 134.

I looked through Good Ball's form and videos, current handicap mark and the form Wednesdays decent field of Novices he would be running against then decided to have 1pt on Good Ball, as a win against a decent field of older novices would probably bring him up into a 130-135 rating, were he to come for the Boodles.
Finally convinced, I struck my 1 point bet at 11.15am.
Looked on Oddschecker, the price went at 11.18am.
A bit of price-taking luck there, could fall flat by Wednesday of course.
