  • What are people making of Teahupoo for this?

It hits a lot of the trends for the race (French bred, started NH rules in France).

If GE does end up taking quilixios to the triumph this will surely be his number 1 for this race.

I feel that at 14/1 NRNB it still offers some value.

My worry is that an easy win today will see it’s rating go too high.

    Thoughts?

Yeah, really like him too... backed 'any' race with this race in mind.

As a play you could take the 25/1 NRNB for the Triumph perhaps in case he does sluice up?

If beaten, he might drift for the Boodles? Then again, they might just cut him if it looks obvious.

Tough to make a call, so no help haha

      • Teahupoo was quite good there I thought, will be interesting to see what mark he gets to see where he goes.

The 12/1 NRNB is perfectly fair though still..... if weighted too high would go Triumph?

Could easily go off single figures.

Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

            As a Big doubter.
That (Teahupoo) has just helped the cause. A tiny bit.

            • .....Teahupoo into a best price 12-1 NRNB for this. The 20-1 NRNB with Sky for Triumph is a stand-out. 12-1 Hills a/r market.

Elliott interview with RTV, said Teahupoo ticks lot of the boxes for Chelt but he could stay at home, grade 2 at Fairyhouse 2 weeks after Chelt. Will chat with owners, not being able to travel might play a big part in their decision.

No one land for him according to trainer after race today, a few options but no plan as yet

Agreed - that was a good solid performance. Another trend in his favour is that no BF favourite LTO has won the race. He’s avoided that today.

Tempted to go in again at that price

Thanks for this! That’s definitely worrying to hear as you’d like to hear more confidence about the plans ahead..

ive backed it NRNB so no issues if they don’t show up but has put me off putting him in a few lucky 15s

                        • Would worry that he might have handicapped himself out of the boodles in any case. Only twice since 2010 has the winner won more than one hurdles race in Britain or Ireland prior to the race.

It looks tough to put him above 140 based on the horses in behind.
                            But we'll see.

                              Yeah absolutely.

High 130's is highly likely IMO

                              • On a line through Crassus, they surely can't mark Teahupoo that highly. Glorious Zoff beat him 12l and Crassus was beat by a 120 horse in receipt of 4 or 5lbs. Really liked that performance from Teahupoo and have gone in again at 10sNRNB. There's clearly more under the bonnet
