Been wondering why Elliott would enter obvious Triumph horses into this race.
I know there are rumours that Quilixios may run here, but he won't, will he ?
Is it to force the handicapper to structure the race around them. Potentially providing better perspective for the allocation of marks for the horses that are not graded level yet ?
Is it to get a tiny bit of trade for his betfair buddies ?
Is it to try and hold the prices for other horses in the race ( a distraction technique) ?
Is it in case of a bizarre set of circumstances that mean the triumph doesn't happen ?
I think it's 1 myself.

I think it could definitely be option 1 in the case of Teahupoo, depending on what happens tomorrow. I think it could help him to get an attractive mark especially given Youmdor's last run. His other horses in the race have already been allocated english marks and I don't think Quilixios being entered would cause any change to their ORs.
Maybe he thinks its a weak renewal and Quilixios is way clear.

Just seems a waste of an entry fee.
You could see the argument if the races were the other way around and the horse picked up a stone bruise or something that takes a day to get over.
