Black Tears price could shorten on the back of this. Some of his earlier selections in the season have caused bookies to cut prices which is rather annoying
....Black Tears still 27-1 (with boost) in Hills a/r market if posters want it onside and uncertain of target.

This one will be an interesting test case. I'll confess to often checking in with this blog as last season his weekend tips were very good, and he had terrific ante post and in week results for Cheltenham. He also writes up his thoughts rather than just posting names so it can be a decent read
This year however - his antepost seems strangely like whats on here but 2 weeks later; to the point when I saw it on twitter I successfully guessed his tips before opening.
His weekend tips though have been atrocious, and those have stopped shortening when he puts them up. Let's see what happens to these ones.
Hmmm, I feel like what the article fails to mention, is that shes 3lbs above her mark from last year in Ireland. You can add probably anywhere from 3-7lbs on that depending on the view the British handicapper takes. I backed her last year, and in a normal year she’d have probably won, but I can’t help feeling she’s had her chance now.

Agree. I have to admit to following his antepost tips in the past, he has got me some good priced winners like Sire Du Berlais and Labaik at 50/1. And I was able to jump on the Sir Gerhard bandwagon pretty early in the summer. Though I have avoided his weekend tips this year as there haven't been many winners at all.
Hopefully his form picks up and some of his antepost selections come off though, especially Bob Olinger for nearly everyone on this forum.

Yes, I have noticed the same. I will always check his Cheltenham selections, not for the content, rather to see who he has put up in case it is one I had been eyeing up and will need to get on before it shortens.

He is Captain obvious with his tips most of the time and copies a lot of what Mark Howard would fancy, see he has put up Good Ball for the Fred after Howard did yet no one was thinking of that horse prior to Mark posting it?
When Stu was lower key on Twitter he used to DM myself and Barizan for racing post members info, dec phelan and mark Howard info before not many of Twitter had heard of them and post this info and twist them for his thoughts before blogging them and gaining loads of followers.
My two currently (not bet them) are Bachasson and Floueur.
Bachasson was too far back last time in this + was slightly impeded- he was never winning anyway, but i do think he's better than that. Can't imagine the handicapper doing much with him this year.
Floueur had 145 Cayd Boyd behind him on debut for GE. Chasing hasn't worked and 140 in Ire is a workable mark. Hopefully he goes here anyway.
Like Floueur Jack, unsure what the plan is, but could be an interesting one wherever he turns up

I didn’t want to mention this and throw accusations but I thought exactly the same. I noticed his ante post tips have been what I’ve read on this site from a previous week or two. It can’t be a coincidence surely.

I mean as twitter tipsters go he seems fairly on the level - no BOOOOOMs, free to read, no affiliate links, doesn't seem to cook his numbers. But this trend has been quite pronounced this year. Not sure what the upside is though, profile?

I liked Bachasson loads last year with the lower hurdle rating & class angle etc, it’s a shame Patrick rode him like it was a pertemps qualifier.

Yeah agree on this , very hard to come down on any 'tipster' who has been putting out content for years for free. Plenty have gone the other way with charging and affiliates (which I have no issue with) and his track record over previous festivals has been really good and got me some good price winners.
No doubt he has been below par on weekly selections this year though but it happens everyone.
Many 'Tipsters' I would come down quickly on but he is one I would give the benefit of the doubt. He has been consistent over a period of time and proven in previous seasons his with his selections he has his own ideas and thoughts.
I think it becomes more difficult now to be 'original' as so many new 'Tipsters' or 'YouTubers' are throwing out sections every week, selections in your thoughts someone in bound to have already mentioned with so many channels for antepost these days the prices go so quick.

On affiliates
- Getting money for driving sign ups - no problem
- Sadly the prevailing model is getting a cut of the profit which encourages losing tips
