He doesn’t look like he’s taken to fences to me, I think he would be very interesting if they revert back to hurdles with him.

Thought he ran a very good race last time. Jumped impeccably as well ?

The lack of novice chase entries is what’s making me wonder if they’ve had a rethink. He could get an entry in a handicap I suppose but to not keep the marsh chase as an option is strange.

Jeremy Pass is declared for Saturday. Anyone think he might come here (and get in) ?

Beat Sizeable Sam first up and only quoted for Ballymore but owner/trainer have Bravemansgame for that. Nicholls won this with a novice before (Aux Petit Sans)?

He'd need another run before Cheltenham, and presumably they've been held up by something with him. Although I couldn't rule it out, it would be tight to get him there for a handicap. Aintree is probably more realistic.

Yip definitely agree on this one.

Was short for the Pertemps last year, fancied it quite strongly!

One to watch for the qualifier next month or for here as another option.

The Punchestown qualifier four weeks after Navan at the weekend I'd imagine Craig. The alternative, if he needs more time and there's a risk of him bouncing, is straight to the Festival and to the Coral Cup.

Aye can see that as well.

Although the festival being a week later this year gives them an extra week after the qualifier.

20/1 any race might be the play with hills. See how he’s performing at the weekend as surely the any race won’t be suspended. Just had a quick look. 365 don’t have him priced neither do PP.

Yes, I've been waiting for PP to price him up for the Pertemps. I suspect they won't until he's entered in a qualifier, but if anyone was so minded to request it, it would be helpful to have him priced up with either them or BF.

Aye noticed that as well mate, don’t price until they have either been entered in a qualifier or have actually qualified.

Had Campeador added at 33/1 NRNB for this race.

It is a complete shot in the dark, and probably more to do with connections than anything else, but I still remember him travelling oh so well in the Fred Winter some years ago, another favourite of mine, Voix Du Reve, also travelling as well, and both ended up falling at the last hurdle Luckily both horses were fine and continue racing to this very day.

Now, Campeador has been seriously out of form since 2019, being well beat on numerous occasions, almost looking like an obvious ploy to get his mark down, and that they have achieved, now rated 128, from a high of 152 over hurdles. He has started to look a little bit well treated, certainly on old form, but also more recent performances, finishing a never nearer 4th of 17 at a big price some 2 runs back. Despite his poorer form coming over further (in past seasons), of late he has looked like needing further, and is duly entered over 2m 4f, a step up from the minimum, tomorrow. Now it may well just a be a case of him being gone at the game, in which case we'd likely be looking at stakes back, but I'm happy to chance him in hope he runs a big race up in trip tomorrow for connections who are no strangers to the winners enclosure for this race at the festival.

Probably needless to say, but I will also back him for tomorrows race too.

                              Both I reckon.

I kind of expect some improvement for the stepping up.

That was pretty impressive by Craigneiche. I wouldn't mind a bit of him in this race with Henderson's record in it. Not priced up from what I could see on oddschecker
