Got Koshari as my cover bet when it was round 12/1.
Yep, I'm on Janika too. I think he is well handicapped and there won't be too much between hime and Monte Cristo who Jacobs has chosen but Janika is 3 times the price. Sneaky Getaway was one I liked for the Martin Pip but has been declared for this. I've just backed him with Chandlers 33s, Hills 28s and Betfreds 25s. He's only 14s with Paddys.

Glad I'm not the only one, I couldn't believe Janika was 50/1 when looking at it's back form and previous course form.

Plus I have only just seen Sneaky Getaway, if its anywhere good ground or good to soft it's got a great chance I've only just realised this myself I might go on that myself as a small cover.

Was looking at the Martin pipe earlier on and I fancied fabulous saga at 40/1 but Sneaky getaway looks even better based on its form on good or good to soft.
Yep, I didn't check Ladbrokes/Corals who are 33s 6 places so have topped up on Sneaky.

Another on the Janika train here - was worried he was going to end up in the Pipe given he's down to 145. Nicky has pulled it off with Whisper and William Henry dropping in class at big prices. He's been very, very quiet on him too.

Yeah exactly I said the same thing back in January and when you look at Janikas back form he finished only just behind William henry on soft ground in a 2m 4f grade 1 race I think it was and that race worked out. Janika has always hated soft ground even in its previous race it was never gonna go anywhere with top weight in its prep.
On better ground with 11st 2lb at 2m 5f on a course hes finished 2nd in chase races in the past 50/1 was just ridiculous. James Bowen is a good jockey too which I'm happy hes riding.

Thought JP would lump on this one. His Champion Bumper narrow 2nd to Envoi with Thyme Hill and Abacadabras in 3rd and 4th really stands out and he's absolutely thrown in on that if he can produce it over hurdles. Coral Cup distance will really suit imo. Wouldn't be at all surprised if he goes off favourite on the day.

Had to back it just in case

Id properly kick myself if it won with that bumper form line and I wasn't on

                      • I know there is at least a couple of people in here who fancy Janika and I've also come down on him for this (soory as my record is terrible in this)!.

Rewatched his hurdle run in the Relkeel and the run this year. His hurdling is actually pretty slick for a horse predominantly run as a chaser.

The Relkeel run was very good, finishing 6 lengths of Summerville Boy, with Roksana and William Henry just ahead. Ground was plenty soft for him and he's not finished too far off some very useful hurdlers at this trip.

At Ascot, he was coming back from nearly a year off, he was held up (which I wouldn't expect in this race) and ran a good race to the 2nd last before fading away. First run since wind surgery and on ground too soft for him, it wasn't as bad a run as it looks on paper. He was subsequently dropped 2 pounds.

We all knowhis Cheltenham form, finishing second twice to Siruh Du Lac in 2019 on good to soft.

This horse is usually won by a graded horse hiding in a handicap and I'm confident he can win this off a mark of 145.

Second run after a wind up also a positive.

He's been cut tonight by the bookies but I'd imagine he will go back out in price in the morning.

                        • Echo a few on here, I’m also on Janika at 33s

Would also take a chance on Saint Sonnet at 40s each way. Was only beaten 13 lengths by Samcro in the Marsh last year as a 5 yr old and wasn’t disgraced at all. Been way below par this season but is back over hurdles tomorrow. Won a listed hurdle in France so obviously has some ability. In off 143 here, only a 6 year old and hopefully has improvement to come. Also Nicholls’ only dart in the race

                          • Coral Cup - Palmers Hill (33/1 win each way)
                            - Jonjo plot job, cant ignore those green and gold colors, they've been smashing up handicaps in ireland this season... and we saw that these silks did last year
                            - Jr onbaord a positive,
                            - Newbury over testing ground, 3 miles. Horse just faded
                            - CD over good ground back in 2018, 23 runners, old on the outsider. Won well, was only 5 years old carrying 11-8, was followed in by a 9-12, 9-13 and 10-7.
                            - Off for 2 years, owner kept him. Tried over chase, no good. "lets revert back to hurdles and take advantage of the mark". One of those horses "why has Jonjo kept him"

                            • Gonna chance Sayo @ 50/1 in this. He made too many mistakes in last year’s running especially at the second last which ended whatever challenge he was putting together!

He has decent course form in finishing 3rd in the Triumph the year before, will appreciate better going& his form has been progressing slowly lately. He’s 2lbs lower than last year & I fancy him to run into a place at big odds!

I like this too, the recent runs have him fading out the picture later on so you would hope a drop back in trip will help, seems an overly big price for him.
