Not sure he has anything else entered either, cos he didn't enter Tommy Rapper who had qualified.
I think he has had his heart set on the pertemps since Mohaayed.

He's lower over hurdles, and jumped them beautifully, so its going to be hard to turn down a Pertemps Final run, particularly if the ground keeps drying out to something that isnt a bog.
There's not a lot of depth to the Pertemps Final, only a few Irish may travel over for it, he just ran over Soft-Heavy Cheptstow ground over 3M, and trainers often say that their horses get further as they get older (particularly one who hurdles as fluently as SOTG did today).
Was worth an Each Way NRNB pre-race, and the prices dont look too shabby post-race either."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

This is Skelton we’re talking about, and a handicap race to boot. He’s not going to give the game away on a tour.
I hope he goes Pertemps because I think he has a chance. He likes Cheltenham, he has a very manageable mark, it’s not that deep a race IMO with top weights being the favs...question is the trip, but they must think he has it in him and he usually finished strongly over 2m4/5f. 33s NRNB was a fair price.
In terms of the big trends in the race though, I believe it’s TBO and Nicholls’ Storm Arising that tick the most boxes.

still both can qualify for this right after tomorrow ???
Lots of talk last year about Dalton aswell but didn't qualify in time
8 are entered, that run tomorrow, and eight are not.
Check out my Irish Race Planning Diary, in the Diary section, I’ve noted down each of the runners and whether their connections have decided to enter for Cheltenham,"Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

Intrigued he has been put away since Christmas again, and Jack Kennedy appears on his back for the final Pertemps Qualifier.
He has a 120 rating in Ireland, so he would have to win today, probably win well, to get to a point of making the trip and getting in the weight range.
I would much rather back him to win today, then decide on reinvesting some/all of the win on the Pertemps Final NRNB
than
Back him for the Final now, and sit back and watch todays race.
So Ive backed him today, and so have many others, as his price has collapsed from 12/1 to 6/1 this morning.

With all the talk about elliott and racings reputation.
Isn't it bizarre that we have a horse running today at 20-1, that if it finishes in the top 6 will go off single figures for the final ??
This qualifying thing needs to get binned.
By all means have some sort of qualifying system but the current one is shit.
When I criticise something I normally like to offer a solution.
But can't be arsed to think of one today, and it wouldn't be that interesting really.
