  • I’m not too despondent about the mark for TBO.

As mentioned above he was clearly the best horse in that race over Xmas. Had Davy been on maybe he would have finished 3/4/5th placed. In all honesty we don’t know we are just guessing. For all we know Elliott maybe wanted to be in with a chance in the race

He clearly thinks a fair bit of the horse. Imperial Alcazar is rated 147, I’d imagine plenty will think TBO is likely better than him, just as a comparison, 3lbs is nothing coupled with having some in hand over it. I like IA but it’s Elliott and it’s a handicap.

    • Could they give Brouder the ride?

......I asked the same in the ‘daft questions’ thread a while ago.

        • Like others bit disappointed with TBO mark but you would think he's still hopefully got something in hand off that.

Have added Torygraph now though, the 25s NRNB was tempting enough. He has a nice rating that hopefully might convince Gordon to get him qualified and he already has Farouk for the Potato.

          • As per the Coral Cup thread, I mentioned Dallas Des Pictons. He's now been added to this market also, at 33/1, which is NRMB also.

He obviously needs to qualify still, but there is still a chance to do so, however it would be unlikely should he run this weekend at the DRF, which would then bring the Coral Cup in as an option. I've made a small case on that race thread so won't go repeating myself.

            • Just reading road to Cheltenham, Lydia Hislop says Lisnagar Oscar has had a breathing op, and is to be entered in a pertemps qualifier at Exeter. She think she a strong run race is what LO needs. Any thoughts?

I think I read the Pertemps qualifier was as a prep for the Stayers, rather than him taking up the entry even if he qualified.

Although I could be just assuming that, well, I am assuming that is correct...

The Stayers Hurdle reigning champion won't run in the Pertemps the following year?

We'd have to be on the SDB stayers, LO Pertemps double if that did happen wouldn't we!!

Hahaha yeah, that would be the maddest and my favourite and least favourite, related double ever.

                    • Ah thought it was odd, read it wrong, yes prep run fir stayers. Hislop was saying he’s still underestimated at 33s for stayers. Sorry I’ll go back to sleep.

                          I can;t believe he's on;y been here since Jan 20.

I'd have backed 1.01 it was before that.

                              • If Gordon Eliliott is looking for a top claimer to take a few lbs of THE BOSSES OSCAR’s back in the Pertemps Final, then he would have been impressed by Simon Torrens (5lb claim) major Handicap double at the DRF for JP McManus today.
