We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

Makes sense to go for Plate again especially being 4lb lower. Unlucky to run into a very good horse last year.

      • Farclas gets an entry here - reckon he's got a great chance....13-1 NRNB with PP/BF.....on for 4pts each way

Just watched replays off all his chase races and the Triumph victory - he was off for 17 months after his hat-trick of chase wins, assume he was injured.

But he's come back well this season in some very competitive handicaps and looks on a decent mark.

Has also done most of his winning on a sound surface so if it is good to soft that shouldn't be a problem.

Love the way he stays on dourly at the finish.

                  • Would benatar not be one of the best handicapped horses in this? Running off 138? I see he has a dec in 4 days time, must surely be to get his mark to upto 140 for certain get in.. Probably doesn't need to.. Ran a belter first time out then was carefully handled last time out, jock never twitched on him, only 14 career rules starts hurd/chase 149 3rd in a ryanair.. Still 33s

Fancied him for the Coral Cup last year but sacrificed to make the pace and he will improve for the step up over fences.
Not entered by the looks of it or any race at Cheltenham. Still think he is one who will get a nice prize over 2m4 over fences.

Farclas now into 8-1 with PP/BF - 12-1 still available without the NRNB safety net.

Gordon to have a power hour double with Run Wild Fred in the Kim Muir?

                            • Just read a stat that the last 6 winners of this race were making their Festival debut. That'll knock a few out !

                              • Defi Bleu is Gordon's horse flying under the radar for this race. He's been messed about with this season, then 'bang' his only entry is in this over the correct trip. Second in the Pipe over the same trip two season ago and available nrnb at 25/1. He's not been talked about anywhere which I also like. 140 plus 3 pounds of UK tax makes him look like a very nicely handicapped horse, given his previous Festival run.

I have a feeling that one of Farclas and Conflated will either go up in trip or won't turn up for Gigi, and Defi Bleu only has this entry so this is the target.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.
