Thought I'd get the post up and running for Middle_Of_March , see what peoples thoughts are as we enter 2022 and just 65 more days to go.

Owners theme this month with a Caldwell Construction Ltd yankee perhaps..

    Mighty Potter Supreme 14/1
    American Mike Champion Bumper 3/1
    Pied Piper Boodles 20/1
    Fil Dor Triumph 3/1
Long bitcoin, long gold, long silver, long g/s opening day Cheltenham Festival

…I suggest we’re at a point where we want 4 winners at decent price rather than specific themes. The handicaps will also come more into play.

How about best remaining ‘value’ winners? Along the lines of Telmesomethinggirl at 6/1 for the Mares Hurdle.

A bective stud owned horse wouldn't follow your suggested theme

Worth checking previous yankees, I think TMSG is in two already, that's not to say she can't be in another of course...

Agreed. First value winner for me: Gerri Colombe - 25/1 for the Ballymore

Think Vauban over-priced....see Triumph post re more detail

Like many others....would also go for TMSG and Gerri (Bally) as over-priced at mo

My vote FWIW is just four winners, however, the handicaps are up now so possibly some better prices can be had.

We're on the same page. +1 for Vauban.

Minella Indo would be my other suggestion but assume he's already in 1 or 2 of them.

JP is odds on for 5 or more winners.

                      Dinoblue
                      Prengarde
                      Elimay

                        My 2 pence worth…

                        Vauban - Triumph
                        Eric Bloodaxe - Albert Bartlett
                        TMSG - Mares
                        APT - GC

With the Britzka run yesterday, it did remind me not to get too involved in handicaps early doors, so I wonder if we don' wait until next months yankee, following the DRF to include handicaps? Accepting there might be an exception or two.

Following up my initial selection of Gerri Colombe in the Ballymore, I'd also support inclusion of Vauban who, like others have said, ran in to a very good one LTO, but PP's participation will be uncertain because of his being owned by the current fav. My only thought re Vauban, is whether Willie would be considering holding him back for a novice campaign next year?

                          My other two suggestion are:

Janidil - Ryanair @ 14/1.Entry into the race and realistically, there is nowhere else for him to run so would be happy with missing the NRNB for the extra few points. Ran well behind Allaho at the John Deer. Didn't stay the 3m at Leopardstown, but wasn't given the greatest of rides imo. What if Allaho isn't the same horse this year? Could also here a case of Asterion in the Ryanair.

Dinoblue - Mares Novice @ 10/1. Really impressed with her on debut, much more than I was Allegorie de Vassy to be honest. It's such an open race this year with very little collateral form; if they all turned up, I wouldn't be surprised if any of the first 7 in the betting won.

I think all 4 have a genuine chance of winning, and a solid chance of finishing in the first 3 at decent prices.

                          43757/1 with PP.

                            Absolutely.

For these final two Yankees, there won’t be a theme and it’ll be all about trying to find four winners. Even if a couple of shorties find their way in their if a strong enough collective argument can be made that the horse is fair value.

If we’re just after winners, and presumably wanting to avoid the real shorties, how about……
