Hes been pulling like a train all season

The faster they go the better

Not sure hes a stayer personally

He looked much faster than stattler and farouk dalene in that bumper before getting outstayed by farouk

I'm on him any race so will just be happy with a run for my money, but id prefer the county

I can see what you mean about the amount of speed he has, but his breeding really suggests he wants a bit further to me. Id also say just getting outstayed by Fakiera is pretty solid form over the intermediate trip!

If he settles in the first mile he has a belting chance wherever he runs

Id be surprised if he didn't have 8-10lbs in hand off 138

Yeah exactly. Any race looks the place to be anyway mate Im going to take the risk and add him at 33/1 without NRNB for this while its still there. The Monksfield form is his best piece of form to my eyes.

          • Really can’t make my mind up what his ideal trip would be. Think he’d cope with either, farouk looks an absolute boat to be fair and the ground was proper deep that day. Only got him & darasso entered in the county probably where I’d lean

Gigg already have Eclair de Beaufeu to win the County!

Fair point! Think he’d have a right chance. Some of theirs look proper well treated this year might give up the game if they don’t travel

His full brother western ryder ran very respectable races in the champion bumper, Aintree bumper and supreme

also had a 5th in the Greatwood and 3rd in the betfair exchange trophy

Almost all of his best form was in big fields over 2 miles

Can see that being the same with fire attack

First things first though he needs to settle, wherever he runs i will be watching like a hawk and will top up in running if he has settled.

I’ve just took the 25s county with 365, seems a shot to nothing. The best priced 20s for this NRNB is a bit less appealing especially with the big juicy cherry of 33s on offer with hills but don’t really want to be throwing money down the drain

Doesn't even bear thinking about does it?! I cant see them chopping their noses off to spite their face tbh. And you'd imagine Gordon will be very keen for them still to run. Would surely make him feel even worse than he already does if Gigg choose to boycott the meeting because of him doing what he did. Hopefully the more measured statement by the BHA today has defused things a bit.

Best thing Gigg can do... is go and win a few races for him instead I think.

Agree with all of that, hopefully cool heads prevail!

I only realised he was a full brother to Western Ryder this morning... another one whose best trip was hard to work out! Funnily enough I always thought he wanted a step up in trip too... Never quite seemed quick enough for 2m to me but never got much chance at 2m4f.

It wasn't hard to work out that Western Ryder was not well handicapped for two years though was it ?
Nowt to do with trip, he was just too high in the weights and badly campaigned.
Won a sprint finish on his third novice hurdle start against subsequent improvers and got 146, that he never recovered from.

                            • Backed a few in this obviously but at the current odds I have just added Galopin Des Champs at 33/1 5 places nrnb

Im sure with the ground drying he will go up in trip and ran really well behind Appreciate it but looked tap for toe
ate o before staying on a bit.
