From favourite in a ?47k win race to a ?7k win race. Guess the plan is to be as sure as they can that he wins and gets a penalty (that's how it works isn't it?) so he has the best possible chance at this point of getting in here. Still looks a bit odd for a yard that supposedly go for pots, ground the same at both, no rain forecast at Kelso.

Maybe he is just being pragmatic and not letting the ? signs get in the way. It’s a near 600 mile round trip to Kelso and a much more competitive race. I suspect he is thinking that this route increases his chance of winning the County which I suspect is personally very important to him especially with this horse as it’s been an aim for him and the owners for a long time now.

It could be that we talk in Points rather than Pounds one here, to keep everyone on a similar scale with their bets.

I have taken to putting GBP if I have to mention monetary values, as I did recently on the difference between prize money at the Festival c/w last season.
