  • Metier form hit there, Shakem Up'Arry beaten by more than a fair bit

first two have EW claims imo. I do like the betfair hurdle as a trial. They go off fast similar to the supreme, you also get an idea if they cope in a big field.

      • Soaring glory a nice ew pick in a weak enough renewal of the supreme IMO. Came there very easily 2 out, great ride from Jonjo aswell.

        • Unless the ground was decent, I would fancy Soaring Glory for the Supreme
Appears to struggle going through soft ground

I think better horses than him have failed.

One to back each way with additional places is probably how I'll do it.

            • .....interesting to hear McCoy saying the experience of that big runner handicap will be a big advantage for Soaring Glory in the Supreme.

Yeah I had one eye on the race with Metier form in mind, didn't really do much for it. Shakem Up'Arry actually beaten the same distance today as in behind Metier (12l), although he carried 3lb more than the winner today. Galice Macalo another 20l further back today. Not that's it's as scientific as that of course, completely different ground for a start, so not a wild negative, but not really much to encourage either.

The Betfair hurdle is hardly a ringing endorsement for the Supreme. Unless you like backing losers.

Tad harsh, plenty have run solid races and placed.

Not really. Its a handicap, and handicappers don't win Supremes.

Do bookies not pay out each way anymore?

It isn't as if its a shockingly bad trial where horses that run in it are tailed off though is it? Mytentoryours, Getmeoutofhere Kalashnikov all running well albeit in defeat. Shame you can't back them to finish 2nd only lol. Its one of the better trials here in the UK that's for sure.

Yep it is harsh, some have gone very close. The races are both left handed and run at a similar pace normally, would never put anyone off backing after running well in the Betfair

Good luck with any of those in todays race.

                              • Depending on what the handicapper does? Is not possible Soaring Glory would be better off going to the County? It was decent performance but not one that screams Supreme winner.
