Thinking on this race opening up, the fav aside, and reading comments re Quilixios or Zanahiyr potentially coming here, I thought the following quote from GE today was interesting.

“I’d imagine they’ll both have to go to the Triumph.”

At face value it rules out a left field move for one of them, but it’s the slight resignation he appears to have in doing so. I wonder if he will try and work on either owner to see if they were willing to redirect here? I’d imagine He’d have more chance with Z given that Q’s owners have Ballyadam who was far better this time out and has a live chance himself.

Dont think Quilixios can run in Supreme as not a Novice, so only option Zan

He does have Ballyadam here, but only he knows how Ballyadam would compare with Zan at weights

And part of the reason their were other lesser horses nearer to him at the finish than likely in a stronger run race IMO.
And also explains why Quilixios time was better as the pace set by Saint Sam was suicidal.

For Pleasure should help give Appreciate it a target for a long way on the actual supreme.

Any win is a good win. But for the hype, the 2/11, 1/5 price that he was i felt that there wasn't that x-factor. As mentioned, maybe a bit underwhelmed - he won cosily but i thought he had a bit more turn of foot. The race was won 2 out when he had the field at it.

I can't disagree that you might have felt it was underwhelming, we saw some more impressive performances that day/weekend!

Putting away that field 2 out, for me, was impressive...and I didn't think he'd get caught... I also don't think he needs more of a turn of foot to win the Supreme... I think if he ran to the exact same level, that'll be good enough.
