If they were both owned by the same person then there would be a chance but they're not and there isn't

Bob I would see as the more likely of the pair but must think something would have to happen to Appreciate It for them to consider it......so why not stick Bob in the Supreme in a NRNB double with Brave and/or Gaillard?
Despite acknowledging it.... you ignored the ..... "(No point telling me how unlikely you feel they are to run, I understand how NRNB works and appreciate tying up funds isn't for everyone) "

....I like the idea of the other though, that does have appeal NRNB!
I suppose as it is so unlikely, I wouldn't want a single on either at current prices as I've already backed them....so not for me....but I like the idea.

    • Was Appreciate It Over rated before the race? After watching it back I don’t think personally he was worth all the raving?

Winning the deepest Grade 1 2m Novice Hurdle by 3L ?

What should people be raving about instead?

I wouldn't say he's over rated.... he's rated as the best, and literally has shown that so far?

His Christmas performance was better than todays, but todays was a better race?

When the dust has settled, Im also a little bit underwhelmed. He's a big winner for me, so wanted to be blown away. But I don't think you can compare his performance to some of the others we saw this weekend.

Ballyadam has run better, but its also possible he's still not that good. Hook Up has clouted almost every hurdle in the race and still only been beaten 7l. Royal Kahala beat her about as far last time. Irascible has finished a similar distance behind as he did in the Future Champions, so the form is probably right I think. Perhaps we got a bit over excited last time?

He's still the benchmark and a very worthy favourite, and one big plus is the fact it does look a weak division this year. He's the best of the Irish and that will surely mean he's the best of them all. But I wanted him to look bombproof after today and Im not sure he is. Spring ground might not be to his benefit.

I still think he will win, but Im less confident than I was, overall.

Haha, you and me both! Problem is they'd never have met over 2m if he'd stayed fit. But I think he would be the better 2 miler myself.

The antidote is simple, Do what I'm doing and back Ferny at 33s for next year's Arkle!

Yeah, if ferny hadn't got injured ai would have been ballymore bound, i would have thought.

One of those 0's is a very creditable 2nd in the Champion Bumper.

You'd have to really want to see it, to say he won't act around Cheltenham

                      • The Sidney Banks at Huntingdon (over 2m4f) doesn't typically attract speedier types that would come here. This is despite last year's winner using this as his prep run. Just looking through the field for Wednesday and an interesting runner is My Drogo.

Unbeaten over hurdles and and won last race nicely, although form does look questionable. After the race, Harry Skelton was very positive about the horse but suggested that he may not be one for Cheltenham. Interestingly he has entries in the Supreme and Ballymore despite these comments.

After Third Time Lucki's run today perhaps he could head here? The Ballymore looks much deeper than this race and I wouldn't be surprised if he came here if he goes to the festival. Worth taking the chance with the 16/1 NRNB.

Very strong at the line though and would have been more impressive in a faster run race I think.

I hadn't even thought of destinations for next year, may be an idea though.

You seen any quotes saying he will be going chasing Moby?

WPM is certainly in the market for a CH contender!

                              • No I haven't but it's from a PTP / Bumpers background and according to the trainer it was being aimed at the Supreme so hopeful that if they go chasing it will target the Arkle with Appreciate It going for the Marsh perhaps. Given it's beaten Bob Olinger and Appreciate It in it's last two races I'm happy to take the 33s and find out anyway!
