I’m finding this years supreme a mind field, I feel like the new detective in the department hunting a serial killer with loads of suspects still not seen or questioned but all fingers pointing towards Ballyadam as the number one suspect and there is plenty of evidence to nail a conviction. I’m not convinced personally by Ballyadam, mainly down to his hurdling, I fear he will catch a few awkwardly in a big field and strong pace but he’s a very strong traveller and I do think he will cope with the Cheltenham Hill if he’s allowed to dictate from the front like Klassical Dream. Maybe it’s not a vintage year, maybe it’s another 2018/2019 where we have an average crop.

Anyone have any idea where Flinteur Sacre will go next ? My thought is back to Newbury and the same race as Shishkin took in this year. He pulled hard and failed to settle when he got beat in his first Bumper and then was ultra impressive in his next race. Deja vu anyone ? I'm willing to give him the benefit of doubt. Still think he is very likely to end up Hendersons number 1 Supreme horse.

Also not sure calling him likely to be Henderson’s number 1 either when a horse has been chucked into a grade 2 novice tomorrow for the same connections. Then you also have Dusart who impressed on debut for his first ever start. Add in Lecale’s (I’d see him over further) but there’s 3 straight away that have done a lot more than Flinteur to show any sort of pecking order imo.

I think it does likely confirm there is a setback but no one has confirmed how serious so fingers crossed we get him back early next year,
What is frustrating with the racing community so its difficult to get access to information such as injuries. Even when Patrick was asked on the zoom call about the race could of mentioned Ferny would miss it etc

Had a quick look and Douvan, Vautour, Min and Getabird all had Nov/Dec runs before their Moscow Flyer wins, as did Klassical Dream and Asterion Forlonge before the Chanelle Phrama. So there's no reason Ferny wouldn't have some sort of run in the same period. It's just to be hoped that he can recover in time from whatever it is.

Just leaves us to check if early entry races leads to 5-day entries being confirmed or not.
Hopefully someone in the media will get a question on the missing Ferny Hollow through to him, but I wouldnt hold my breath."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".
