A lofty reputation no doubt but Jesus people getting ahead of themselves!
More important to be 'first' to mention a horse than actually tip a winner.

Watched Eskylane back again and think we were all a little harsh on him. Travelled well, jumped great, had to make his own running which wasn't ideal, showed decent pace, would have appreciated softer ground, front two pulled well clear of rest, looked like he'd win easily then definitely idled/tired in front but was always holding 2nd, probably needed race. I remember people crabbing Vautour after he struggled to win the Moscow Flyer at long odds on and saying he'd never win a Supreme. I'm not saying Eskylane is a Vautour but , watching his race back , I think it was a good performance and I'm not sure he does need a step up in trip.He goes to the Monksfield next so that will tell us more.

Eskylane ran exactly the same race style on his Bumper debut over 2M last year.
He took the lead entering the last furlong looked the comfortable winner, then flattened out near the as the finish approached.
If we are assessing if he is a Festival Grade 1 winner, he needs to do a bit better."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

From the point of antepost betting, I would prefer to see more before jumping in.
Having won now, he may well get a move into a Graded Race, and as you say 2nd time out will reveal a lot more of the story."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

The owner was quoted on the Racing Post yesterday when asked about his horses to follow for the season.
"He sustained a small injury in January which meant we had to miss the Grade 1 Spring Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown in February. That was frustrating but he's improved from a break and he's grown into a big, strong horse.
His Flat form in France has been franked throughout the summer and Willie seems really happy with him so we're really looking forward to getting him on the track at some time this winter.
He was running over staying distances on the Flat, so I'd imagine he'll start at two miles and work his way up. He's going nicely and is looking fantastic."

This thread seems to have got lost a little, due to the combined novices hurdle thread being the more popular option.
But where does everyone stand on current Supreme runners?
Obviously the top of the market is sitting with the Cheveley Park pair of Ballyadam and Ferny Hollow, followed by a Nicky Henderson horse, in Dusart.
Does anyone have anything left that we potentially haven't seen or feels is currently overpriced?
I ask, having just made a small case for one due out on Friday in my diary thread, called Not Available, but also the one other I feel could be overpriced, based on the little we have seen to date is Magic Tricks for JP/Gordon Elliott.

The first race on Boxing day is usually one that only four year olds run in.
The second race for older horses is often decent also.
Willie Mullins runners especially.
Hopefully Micro Manage is the one as he has had recent entries at least.
