Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

    I don't.

Most solid favourite since Douvan, I've read

I wonder how many times I'll be made to look stupid in the next 4 days
I'm a bit nervous. I'm sure he's the best horse in the race and he absolutely should win... I just get nervous for the first race when I have a main dart that can set me up so well. Only my third crack at this sort of thing. Had Angels Breath and Abacadabras as my previous two...

Me too. Having said that, he won LTO at 1/3 and beat the best of the Irish. The same horses re-oppose, both have never been to Cheltenham and the Irish are better than the English IMO, so I think people are looking at EVS or 10/11 and thinking its very fair, which it is.

It is interesting how the “never been to Cheltenham” stick is banded about and when it is.

Maybe I’m being naive on it, but given it’s a supposed negative for CPS, should it not be a positive for AI?

I'm not massively on AI, but if you watch last years bumper, close your eyes and pretend Ferny Hollow isn't there (Think this week will confirm how good FH could be, including almost certainly beating AI if he were coming here) then he looks good to me on that front. The other variables aren't massive variables really. He's a worthy fav, but we'll see.

                  • I think when Appreciate It wins tomorrow with a bit in hand we’ll all say afterwards it was obvious looking back he was going to win. I think it’s one of races where it’s so obvious we are doubting it.

                    • I saw somewhere on Facebook that a bookie claimed their worst result is actually Grumpy Charley

I really struggle to believe that, but if it’s true is there something we all seem to be missing? He’s halved in price over the last 48 hours

I think maybe they're leaning on it being popular because of the name?

I always run through the list of decs with my wife and she picked Grumpy Charley.

It's always either a name, or the last one I say

When I say always, I mean once, ever. Today.

To me its never obvious with novice hurdles at the festival , .particularly with the lack of form between horses. Would be no surprise to me if AI or Metier won.
Others less so, but can see the next three or four running big races. Its not easy with these novices.
