The owners will be waiting for the handicap marks.
I know they are kind of known but I'd imagine that's what they're waiting on, that and till nearer the day regards fitness etc.
He's already got American Mike and Three Card Brag for the Albert don't forget.
Doesn’t look like mikes gonna be getting a fourth run in time, think the deadline might have passed for getting your fourth run anyway, in time to qualify for the handicaps.
Not that I know of Ista, few folk seem to be suggesting it though.
I’d have it the same as Kev and Paul have said, Cool Survivor being Giggs pipe horse leaving Favori going Spud.
Just looks a brut of a stayer to me, if he had the speed to win a competitive handicap over 20f then he’d have to be some horse, I’d be sure the further they go with him the better he’ll be…

Mike is going for the Ballymore, IMO. Gordon said it at the start of the season. The doubt was whether he got a handicap mark or not but he hasn't so he'll be Ballymore bound now. Obviously not expecting him to be good enough but I don't think he'll run in the Bartlett regardless.
Three Card Brag will probably go Bartlett but he's got the Pipe entry as well. No different from the Giggs horses though.

Three Card Brag Albert Bartlett, 8-1
A thorough stayer who'll relish every yard of the trip in the Albert Bartlett. He kept galloping at Fairyhouse and he will do the same at Cheltenham. He should go very well and he's got some good form against decent novice hurdlers.
from the RP, only mentions the AB and novices. He will go the AB the owners have always wanted to go that way and Heskin will get the ride

Think he changed his mind in a more recent interview re Mike (Irish Field) Mentioned both him and 3CB going Albert.
An even more recent article before the race won by Hunters Yarn, Gordon said Ballymore as he didn’t want to extend Mike to 3m. Who knows …
Anyone's guess. Weather will play a part . He's up against it whatever race he goes for.
This was from press release on 7th February....
Three Card Brag: “He’ll probably go for the three-mile race (Albert Bartlett), as will Favori De Champdou. Cool Survivor ran well the other day, but we might look at the Martin Pipe with him. Absolute Notions doesn’t look as though he’ll be badly handicapped so we could look at something for him too.”
“American Mike and Three Card Brag are two similar horses in that they don’t show much at home and are very laid back. They keep all their best work at the track and are two big chasers in the making. I’d imagine both will go for the Albert Bartlett – if the race was tomorrow that’s what they’d be going for.”
Now qualified for the handicaps and would look an ideal candidate for the Martin Pipe but whether he’s mature enough to go for that this year I’m not sure. We’ll see what weight he gets and we might just keep him at home and go down the Fairyhouse-Punchestown route.
He’s one for the Albert Bartlett. His wins over hurdles have been on soft ground, but he’s not a massive horse and won a bumper on decent ground, so he should be ok if he meets better ground at Cheltenham.
