Any news on chemical energy for here. Very little on the socials as of late , is he out again before the festival ?
I’d be surprised if any of those horses that Gordon went fishing for marks for will run again. He won’t want to blow anything as most of them got marks that will (almost) guarantee a run and I’m sure he’s over the moon with them.

thought so but CE will be 4 months break , is that a little too long or no issues do you think?

The top trainers can get horses ready after a break so it wouldn’t worry me, especially given the mark he received. He could have had an injury or still have it though but I’ve not seen or read anything.
Adamantly Chosen is a fair price at 25/1 for a Punchestown bumper winner and the connections of last years winner. Is entered in a 2m maiden on 10th Feb for his qualifying run and you’d hope the improvement can come from a step up in trip for this race. Mullins stated the horse would need 2m4f+ in stable tours at the start of the season. Could see him getting a mark in the high 130s/low 140s

He definitely needs further but unless he wins very comfortably, he probably won't get high 130s mark. Gringo beat him and is only rated 130. The 4th from his first race is only rated 106.
I've already backed him NRNB and hoping he sneaks in the bottom of the weights
Definitely the best target trainer this side of the Irish Sea - would not back against him given how well he ran last time and what he ran into on that day
That his first run will be in the Pipe
and that he will try the Imperial Cup-Pipe double again.
After a year off, you'd need 'balls of steel' to try and win two big races in 6 days.
Aye, agreed. I'd have thought the plan would have been a run around midfield somewhere before the Imperial Cup but obviously not happening now. Not sure if that's due to fitness or if it was never the plan.
Puts me off him a bit for this now, even though I've already backed him

Aye, I'll probably let the bet ride now. Doesn't have a particularly smart first time out record does he. As much as Skelton is good at getting one ready after a break, as already shown this season.
Just had a plan in my head that was basically the same as last year but without GDC! And they've not followed it

My feeling is that he's been held off the course because they're so happy with his mark and if he was to run it would be hard for him not to show his hand to the handicapper.
Plus, with Galopin Des Champs looking like the new Arkle the handicapper may well use collateral form.
140 works just fine...
