Yeah very good race. Luckily we have a fair few hurdle races before it on the new course so we can see how it rides.

    • Jordan Gainford on Hollow Games. Shane Fitzgerald on Chemical Energy. Liam Harrison on Freedom to Dream - good pick up for both camps.

      • Adamantly Chosen not jocked up yet, but Richie Deegan doesn't have a ride yet (BHA first had him on The Very Man) so I'd assume he will take up the ride on AC

how do we all rate Richie? Can’t say I’ve kept much of an eye on conditionals this year

He's too old for the race, isn't he?

That would be my understanding of it

There must of been a rule change

I thought he was but he was originally jocked up on The Very Man and 5 minutes later he was removed on the BHA. Maybe it's slipped through? Wouldn't surprise me to see him get pulled off it tomorrow at some point.

                • The Very Man is the one for this. Completely overlooked in the betting but it shouldn't be. If the jockey keeps it simple this really is a steering job. A gift in the getting out stakes /...

                  • The one I keep coming back to is five O'clock, hasn't run since last years festival, gone down another 4lbs and was running on last year plus lost irons and I think it got hampered by a faller near the end of the race. Mill green was in that race and that horse had a good run today and was also running on.

It's a 2 year break. Appreciate It didn't run to form after a year so Five O'Clock has a massive task.

Does that not make you want a few quid on, why on earth is this horse running

He should be jogging around in some small field race to ease his way back in

No. I don't think he was good enough 2 years ago and can't have him in what looks a pretty good renewal.

                            True

Langer dan wins on the snaff and in the final handicap of the festival becomes the first fancied runner to win one this year

If he travels like he did last year, there will need to be something special to beat him.

You never know he might win to tie the Prestbury Cup and sink the biggest certainty of all time
