It would be slightly beneficial but I don’t think any of Willies previous winners had been ridden by the conditional before the race itself.

Patrick said hes entered in several, they hope he would be a Grade 1 novice, but the late start and his fall put them a bit behind, at this point.
He said "Should" he come here, the conditional jockey knows him from his maiden win.

It was an opinion on having a jockey that knows the horse, should he come here - not really a steer that he would be.

I think its very much up in the air.

      • I felt it was a steer. Not a firm one by any means. But asked about State Man’s 3 entries and he only spoke about him running in the Pipe.

        • Looby has said something about deegan's age so wouldn't be able to ride unless rules have changed?

Sounds about right - Deegan would be about 30 at this stage. I think you need to be 26 or under

As I understand it jockey must be under 26 years old and can't have ridden 75 winners.
Where the cut off point is I don't know...

                    • I hope so Toni. He's one I like for this and he seems to have flown under the radar. Of the bigger prices the two I like are him and Paul's Freedom To Dream.

Yeah the prices for this at the moment are brutal I imagine a lot will be bigger on the day. I think I’ll take the 25/1 with ladbrokes on him now. A clear cut above what any other firm is offering, and they’re NRNB too

                        • ADAMANTLY CHOSEN Even though he won by half the track down at Thurles I thought he was very green. I’ll have a word with connections, and they might choose to stay at home and look at Fairyhouse and Punchestown and there’s a nice race before that back at Thurles. It’s not a given he’ll go to Cheltenham.

Let's hope your mate who was saying he'd been laid out for it all season, with lots of full stops, doesn't get disappointed.
