  • Gin Coco went off 13/2 in the County Hurdle last year, won by Faivoir

He beat Faivoir earlier this season (2 runs later), and is much better off at the weights with that horse, who I know we all give a chance to. Obviously can assume Faivoir wasn't running properly in November, but still, it's quite a swing

As an angle I really like, Gin Coco was considered well enough handicapped last year off 135 to go off 13/2 in a County Hurdle, this year he's 136, having beaten last years winner since and at 25/1 (7pl) and 33/1 (6pl) I think he's well worth considering.

May even drift further.... ground an unknown, been kept off it before, but enough horses have connections say they don't want it without that being tested and I think he's a good price to chance

    Quevega - this one qualfies

Huge price on the exchange in comparison to pretty much all other horses @120s

          • Just having a look through the handicaps for tomorrow... two look really interesting trend wise (and form wise) for the County. First is obvious as hell in L'eau Du Sud, but the second is Petit Tonnerre.

6 year old, would technically be a third season hurdler I guess but only 2 runs at the back end of his first season and this will be his first run over hurdles this season. Right weight on trends, right amount of hurdle runs and runs this season, rated 136 which is in the right range.

Came 7th in this last year off a 6 pound higher mark, only beaten 6 lengths to Faivoir. Could have easily gone for a handicap over fences but he's reverted to hurdles, easy to suspect that he was just protecting his hurdle mark with this in mind. Plenty of RPRs in the 140s, loads to like. 28/1 with Betfair.

            • Love it Dandrew definitely on the list - can’t get away from pied piper also. So close last year, feels like unfinished business. Danny Gilligan is a cracking jockey, but is a reservation as no winners around Cheltenham yet and a county is a hard race to break your duck. His MP ride is also very interesting with the back form with Slade steel.

              • Trying to find horses who will actually like this ground

Preferably one that also stays 2m4f

                Came down on magical zoe

Think the ground will have gone for a lot of these

I have her in my tracker from the start of the season, with “a county type”

That Irish tax is putting me off but I can’t ignore. She’ll stay all day

That is a bet I definitely wasn't expecting to collect

                        • Number 1 rule - ground doesn't matter to a good horse in a handicap. Paul on board for his only handicap ride probably said it all. Sure that result was good for a lot of people on here with all the talk of the first and second and available at each way prices for a decent amount of time.

                          • Really annoyed with that, even though he was a winner for me haha easy to sit here and say it now but I listened too much to the ground talk instead of going back in!

                            • Re watched the race today and Townend ride was magnificent.
On the other end of the scale though was Kennedy's ride on King of Kingsfield, which was fucking shite.
