He's going to be a good few lb below his mark last year finishing 4th to State Man, but he'll probably still be lower if they go for the Morebattle & County Hurdle bonus.

And seems to be a fair bit of support for Pembroke in the County today…

        • Been thinking re Hunters Yarn and people saying he'll be too high for the County. Let's not forget State Man won off 141 last year and is now a 167 horse so he could have won off loads more. Hunters will be mid 140's so if he shows half as much improvement as State Man then he too will be well in.
I'd fancy HY giving Pembroke 9lbs and a beating in a match and that one is all the rage for the County. Funny old game Saint.

Hope they aren't too harsh on him with the tax but hes already 143 isn't he? so likely 148/149 ..

They could always put Kieran Callaghan on mind to take 7 off

Second in the Greatwood to todays easy Kingwell hurdle winner, that's all it takes these days.

Yeah, hadn't really thought of that. That would bring him down to a very winnable mark. Willie has so many that he can throw at the Supreme that HY to the County seems the right call for all concerned. He, along with Spanish Harlem and Ashroe Diamond are the only Novice Hurdlers of Willie's that qualify to run in a handicap so I'd imagine at least two of those three are very likely to head down that route.

Yeah that’s enough to get me interested.
                      Handicapped to win it now….

                      • Bridget be on West Cork with Harry on Pembroke given the vibes we assume ? WC possibly deemed second string be a price come the day anyway do folk think ?

Thinking same the same Lobos, owners have Dark Raven and Impaire Et Passe but only Hunters Yarn has 4 or more runs over hudles so is the only one eligible for a handicap
Had a few bob on Hunters Yarn and popped him in a few doubles and trebles, happy to take the NRNB

It won't worry me who sits on West Cork, Harry and Bridget have both won the race so know what it takes.
I haven't seen much of Bridget this season but she rode a big handicap winner for Skelton a couple of months ago (can't remember the horse) and thought she gave it great ride, clearly very able.
West Cork wouldn't have your usual profile for a County winner but he's certainly been given every chance, but let's see how many Mullins future multiple G1 winners there are lurking near the bottom when weights get released !

….vibes of the lovely Mohaayed, drifted to 33–1 on the day and came through the lot jumping the last.

My thought as well. Bridget gave him a great ride that day.
