Eclair De Beaufeau down to 132.

Autumn Evening 140 (2 pound rise)

    Ballyadam 144

Call Me Lyreen 146 (8 pound rise)

    Champagne Gold 134

Eskylane increased 1 pound to 146??

Magic Tricks 144 (up 4 pounds)

    My Mate Mozzie 141

    Saint D'Oroux 134

Probably missed a fair few but I've seen these names mentioned through the year.
Another 3lb off for Eclair De Beaufeu should see him sneak in near the bottom, and with Hills going 33/1 I’ll have to take some of that I think!

He did just get beat 72L at 50/1

I wonder how they came up with a -3lb ..... it's just made up

I'm going to add him as I'm a sucker for a previously well handicapped 'plot' getting forgotton.... however, he should be a big price even on the day!

        • Drop the anchor is interesting if he can get to Cheltenham 1 or 2 pounds lower than last year. He finished the race really strongly last year after getting squeezed out when making his initial challenge and ran a nice prep race for this at the weekend. He ran at ascot in the Betfair exchange trophy earlier this year (like Belfast banter did last year) off of the same mark that he had in the county last year and ran stink, so hopefully the UK capper will drop him 1 or 2.

Please can someone get My Mate Mozzie priced up for this with NRNB firms?

He's priced up with Sky, only 10/1 though.

                  • For all that the County doesn't really throw up multiple placers some of the principals form last years race are looking on reasonable marks:

                    Eclair de Beaufau
                    Petit Mouchoir
                    Anna Bunina
                    Drop The Anchor

Looks as though all of the above are now on marks below what they ran off last year.

Currently only rated 133 in Ireland, although that would have been good enough to get in the past 4 runnings of the race, he'll likely encounter some UK tax as well, so it shouldn't be much of an issue getting in, I'd imagine. I've just backed him, anyhow. Ideally will want some cut in the ground, IMO, too.
Good win by Slip Of The Tongue today.

I did see Kevloaf mention him in the handicap thread today, and also note the Martin Pipe, which isn't out of the question, but I'm personally hoping he comes here now.

Being by Flemensfirth I'd ideally want some juice in the ground, on the day too.

                      • ….Slip of the Tongue into a best price 16-1 for this after that win.

I'd definitely consider the 14/1 NRNB for the Martin Pipe after that though COD...

He's not cruised through on the bridle, he's been asked to close and has (which is great) but to me he stayed on best there... definitely didn't watch it thinking he'll struggle up in trip!

Happy with him in either race though - I really like him.

You mentioned Flemensfirth there so I’m going to pose a question; Would you not be against Slip Of The Tongue for County for the same reasons you are against Top Bandit for the same race?

                            • Pretty significant yet random cut today from PP/BF with them going 6s from 8s for State Man for this race - enough for me to add him at the 10s available with 365 NRNB.

                                Yeah that could be significant.
I can get 14/1 without insurance, have taken that
