  • Anyone fancy Felix Desjy?, I don't really have any selection for this yet, but for some reason this hose is on my mind for this, can't help but think its mark of 143 is good for this and its still at 33s. Plus Slip of the Tongue I think has still got some improvement to come and 14s looks good for it still for this.

Yes to Felix Desjy. Only entry and his mark makes some appeal. Hopefully he's still available at 33/1 when 7 places are available.

Yes, I do, as well. Hoping he'll still be a big price come the day as wouldn't mind him being one with extra places available.

He has had 4 careers runs with progressive RPRs, he comfortably beat Tax For Max who has been mentioned in here.

2nd run is a 2l defeat to Saint Felicien off level weights and 3rd run is a 6l 3rd behind Teahupoo and Quillixios, form which ties back into his debut win.

I can see more progression coming and feel he is ahead of his mark already.
The current 14/1 NRNB price is more than fair, I would love to know if he is an intended runner before adding to a handicap Yankee.
Entered at Naas on Sunday in a Grade 3, I see.

If you get a chance to look back at that race, Tax For Max ran way too keen throughout and also made a bad mistake at the second last, in spite of that he still ran on to the line. Tax is nine or ten pounds better off at the weights here and with a likely much quicker gallop here there is a good chance he will settle better. At 25/1 he is the value, off course NRNB.

I do think he’ll end up in the county with Adamantly chosen and deploy the getaway going MP. But not set in stone just yet, price could just be a reflection of the MP looking strong with Langer Dan and now hollow games going there

I'm thinking the latter. The County would be the last place they'll send State Man based on the reason Blue Lord skipped the race last year despite being similarly well handicapped.

Blue Lord got entered into a pathetically weak Supreme though... bar the stablemate and superstar Appreciate It....

State Man would be going into a deeper one? So may not be the same this year?

Why would you send a horse talked of as a potential Supreme horse to the Martin Pipe? The MP is won by future stayers.

                            Yep, agree.
I don't doubt Mullins gave the race serious consideration but he looks a talented 2 miler and the County is run at a brutal clip and will take some getting so using his gears should suit this race much better.
Besides, Mullins knows he can't beat Langer Dan...

To be fair the Supreme has been won by it's share of future stayers too

...and State Man's jumping is not nearly slick enough for the County.
